Been a member of this tipyard for longer than i care to recollect. To think in the 80s it was in the top 20 for beer sales for pubs and clubs in nsw. Fact!. Id like everyone to raise a glass and reflect on all the aimless boneheads who give themselves titles such as "President " or "director " "management ect. Their all obviously in the wrong job. Its like going to the mechanics for a haircut , it just doesn't work. To witness the slow suffocation is just criminal. Whoever gave the go ahead to dismantle the music auditorium should be garroted because that was the beginning of the end . Then some buffoon spending zillions on conference rooms upstairs was a masterstroke. People want entertainment not a bunch of stuffed shirts patting each other on the back. When I got a bit sleepy after quaffing copious quantities of piss which by the way was never questioned ......."MANAGEMENT " id stagger up for a snooze and they where none the wiser...."MANAGEMENT ". And finally they have sold all there considerable assets to keep the dying carcass afloat "DIRECTORS". So i say 3 cheers to the unrivalled business brains at club east "HIP HIP HORAY"

Oh i almost forgot to mention that sniveling brown nose "NORM". Your just pathetic and...

The food quality is good but this review as the club staff are not good at all in customer service. I am a person with disability on a a wheelchair. I went to this club and I had a fall inside the toilet and when I tried to get back to the wheelchair then I found the club is closed so I called police to open the club for me. After that, I went again but the club manager refused my entry and claimed that I was there in the morning but I was not as I had a doctor appointment on that day ( probably he was trying to cover mistake of closing the club without checking that there is a disabled person in the toilet. These happened about two years ago . It was my mistake that I didn't consider this as a discrimination action against me. Few days ago I went to have a meal I was surprised that this person banned me . A complaint was raised against him by many other members but what happened is decreasing his working days. I am writing this review because I am planing to raise it to the court as I consider it as discrimination.anyone of the members had a problem with him can join me...

The facilities here consist of a bar and coffee area, a separate restaurant, lounge areas, a pokie machine area and function rooms upstairs. While children are permitted in here, I would not describe it as family friendly, more like family tolerant. This said, the bistro has recently been replaced with Mike's Bar and Grill. It has tasty meals and overall the club is a relaxing place to visit.

This said, don't bother coming here for an afternoon coffee. We used to come every afternoon and even though the cafe was open, more often than not no one was at the counter. I would have to hunt around, ask in the kitchen, ask at the reception desk, until I found someone to serve me. One day I sent an email to management saying that if they intended to operate a cafe, then they should staff it. The next time we visited a waitress approached us, scolded us for sending the email and told us that preparing the function rooms upstairs was more important than serving us coffee. Fair enough. We no longer go...

Went for 7.30pm Wednesday night trivia here. Make sure you get there early as it starts sharp. The crowd and questions are definitely aimed at the more mature crowd. For the food now. Gravy was good, schnitzel was good, salad was ok. Chips were too short and stubby. Longest was about 4cm. For $10 you might wanna skip them. I added the sauces to the chips. Run by Mike's Grill Would I visit again? Probably not. The trivia host was lovely but the food was just ok.
