I recently had a delicious haloumi breakfast roll here so the more disappointed I was when I ordered the basic - a vegemite butter toast. The slices were thin (but ok, thickness might be a personal preference), not enough butter and vegemite and they were only spread at the centre of the bread but more importantly, the serving was a slice and a half. I go for a vegemite butter toast quite often and like to try this at new places and haven't yet seen anyone halving a slice. You either get just one slice or two but not one and a half. As if the half of bread would create significant saving (not). It's just offensive. The price ($6.50) is comparable to other coffee shops in the neighbourhood so I won't be returning here for a vegemite butter toast. Giving three stars just because of the haloumi roll, otherwise it would have been just one. You can do...

Cafe during day: As we sat down, the first word that entered my mind was "sophisticated". The combination of light jazz playing, soft lights and a modern interpretation of industrial decor all gives this place a beautiful ambience. The staff were keen to serve us and so we simply went with a morning cappuccino. I loved it. The crema was perfect.

Restaurant by night: We attended the "soft" opening of dinner services. The food varied between familiar dishes and "takes" on familiar dishes. The chicken and prosciutto croquettes were absolutely perfect and the Kansas City ribs were heavenly, the meat on these latter falling apart in my mouth. The tiramisu was rich and vibrant and I really enjoyed it, but it was not what I would think of traditionally as a tiramisu.

Yep, definitely a place...

Quite the homely and peaceful location.

Was absolutely adored by the outdoor seating out the back; it has a rustic, tranquil but yet very vibrant vibe to it. With the indoor seating have quite a romantic touch to its minimalist style

In all honesty it's what attracted me here in the first place. My partner was quite melted away by the atmosphere as well.

The coffee is creamy and of quality; with no issues with taste or burntness as far as Ive been going here.

The service is speedy; always welcoming with a smile and a swing to their voice.

And the price is justified by the succulent, mouth watering quality and presentation of their food.

Will be my regular brew spot whenever I'm back in Sutherland's.

Keep up the immaculate...
