Ziggy's — Local services in Sydney

I'd HIGHLY recommend making Ziggy's your regular salon. As a gay man living in Sydney, there is a certain pressure placed on you to look after your appearance. The Ziggy's team understand this and have always given me the best haircuts and beard trims.

Some time ago I was told by a friend in the industry to request a barber by the name of Andrew and I am so stoked I did. He makes you feel very comfortable during your haircut, and he actually really cares about getting to know to your style and goes above and beyond what is expected to ensure you are happy with the results.

The rest of the team are lovely, too, and take an interest in you even though they aren't assigned to cutting your hair! Jess, Kim, Vinnie, the Italian guy with the moustache who looks like the Mario Brothers (sorry, I forgot his name)... these are all the familiar, friendly faces that make me feel so welcome when I go to ZIggy's. I even take my dog there to hang out with them on his walks. Where else can you do that in...

I don't usually write reviews, but I have had such an amazing experience with this barber salon that I just had to. I have been going to Ziggy's for over three years and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to increase the confidence they have about their look. Every haircut and colour I've ever had has been slick and I always leave feeling better about myself. Not only are the staff highly knowledgeable, skilled and professional, they make you feel at home and like they are your friends, not just providing a service. They are among the kindest people I have encountered in Sydney, particularly my primary barber Andrew, the owner Bronwyn and my colourist Kim. I have since moved far away from Darlinghurst, but I still travel there for haircuts every few weeks to spoil myself with good company, great drinks (which are provided) and a fresh look. I was on the hunt for a new barber after returning to Sydney from living overseas for 6 years. My hair has always been pretty tricky to cut and style, so I was after someone who had amazing skills with the scissors.

After reading good things about Andy and the team at Ziggy's I decided to book an appointment. Andy is an absolute ROCKSTAR! He's got great attention to detail and is definitely one of the best barbers around. 18 months on and I'm still impressed with the cuts Andy gives. He's the only barber I'll see.

Ziggy's has a really vibrant but laid back vibe. The staff are all super fun and just great people to be around which really helps make you feel comfortable from the moment you step through the front door.

If you're looking for a great hair salon in Sydney then definitely give Ziggy's a try. I can't recommend them...
