Happy Garden Takeaway Gateway — Local services in Yarrawonga

No stars I don't want to mean to Happy Garden, I don't, really nice folk.

I moved to NT (palmerston) awhile back and I became obsessed with laksa, I can list the top 6 in Palmy, in order and I have learnt to cook it.

So I was uber excited to grab one from Happy Gardens in Casuarina as a take away for dinner after Christmas shopping.

I read all the reviews "best laksa in the world"

"Another day Another perfect laksa"

I expected incredible, it's Happy Garden, their reputation is everywhere.

It was inedible.

They used pad thai like noodles that turned to glue by the time I made it home.

Soup flavourless, watery

Three prawns and seafood extender stuff, even that was soggy, how on earth do you make that soggy?

I wanted crisp, coriander, peanuts, chilli, dried shallots, the lot.

I received clag.

It went in the bin, even after I tried to fix it. In edible!!

I would of shut up, people that write bad reviews are awful.

Except they charged me $26.50 for this monstrosity and it was meant to be $22.00.

My laksa craving not fulfilled,

Awful meal. The duck wasn't boned or cut properly and my duck laksa came with huge chunks of duck that were mostly bone. The poorly cut duck resulted in smaller fragments of very small, sharp and splintered bone fragments in my soup which weren't a pleasure to consume or digest. I can see the value in authenticity here but with assumed level food standards and requirements to meet health and safety this sort of thing shouldn't be happening as improperly boning poultry is a matter of laziness and carelessness. Bought the pork dumplings, they were the worst dumplings I have ever encountered. I took a bite and there was basically no meat in there at all and dumpling skin was uncooked, cold and hard. The fact that a place can offer such bad food and be so stingy by putting barely a 1/4 of a teaspoon of pork in a dumpling is disgraceful. I returned my dumplings and explained that they should not serve this to customers and didn't even want my money back because I was that annoyed. Walked off and will absolutely...
