Burger Urge (Palmerston) — Restaurant in Northern Territory

I had ordered online and had a delivery driver assigned. I called the store as the tracker kept delaying the food arrival time. I was told that they weren’t allowed to give the food to a delivery driver if he didn’t have a bag to keep the food hot. I told the manager I would come and collect the food as I had a family to feed and it was getting late. I requested that food be remade as the manager told me that food was made at 7:20pm and it was now 7:50pm, that would mean the food wasn’t fresh and had been sitting there for 30 minutes. I got to the store 5/10 minutes later after calling at 7:50pm to be told that they were still remaking the order as it was a large order. I waited another 10 minutes and was given my order. As soon as I arrived home the food was not fresh, it was stale, dry and the chips were soggy. My family couldn’t eat their food.

To put in perspective, I get food from Maccas and my food always arrives hot.

I am disappointed and disgusted that this is what I have recieved after spending a lot of money. I am also very disappointed that I was lied to about the food being remade.

I will not order from here ever again.

The attached photo is from one of the burgers I ordered. The lettuce isn’t fresh, the pickles are dry, the batter on the patty was soggy and the bread was stale from sitting there for over 40 minutes.

I sincerely hope that no one else experiences this treatment. This place is highly expensive and this isn’t what you should receive from any takeaway.

The manager did refund me my delivery fee but it is still unacceptable to be lied to about my food...

I recently dined at Burger Urge in Palmerston and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. Last few times we have ordered there's always issues regarding customer service which is a bummer as the food is often good (overpriced) but good.

Had a bad experience a few weeks ago where we ordered food online, went to pick it up got there and the lady said our food was being bagged as we got there and it would be 2 minutes away.. After sitting and waiting for about 30 minutes we finally got up and asked what was going on, we were greeted by a different lady who had no idea about our order and tried to tell us we didn't order it, (we ordered through menulog) she finally realised and goes out the back and grabs it we get home and everything was cold and had obviously been sitting there for a good 40 minutes.. no apologies from staff.

Decided to give them another go tonight as despite the poor customer service we do enjoy the food, gets delivered and the main meals (burgers) are missing.. call the restraunt and told there is nothing they can do about it apart from a voucher next time we come in.. pretty piss poor effort when you spend $50+ on dinner and just have to go without because they can't be bothered sending out a driver to...
