Landmark is usually pretty good! The beef cheeks was good, had a slight bitter aftertaste but I think that's just from the beer in the sauce; perhaps too much or reduced too farđŸ€·. The texture was perfect, the taste was good and the portion was excellent! The seasonal vegetables was al dente, as it should be though portion could be more but I guess together with the sweet mash, all in all would be enough. Excepting that the sweet potato mash when tasted without the sauce tasted like dish washing liquid but the waitress advised the chef said that's how its meant to tasteđŸ‘€đŸ€” Funnily, I'd still recommend the dish and the Landmark because they usually get it right and it would be great to understand if my taste buds went for a walk on this one... let me know if you tried it and what your experience was like.

What can I say about Landmark. It's in the name already. This place seems to be an iconic spot for local residents. This pub is always busy for a reason. Food is above par for pub feed. The seperated restaurant side makes is nice of you want to be more intimate with friends and family. Entertainment - Live music. Games. Gambling. Down stairs club. It's a great all round spot. Must visit. One of those spots you wish wasn't always so busy. But you do meet all kinds of people there.

Valentines day 2020 Food was so delicious! Italian themed 4 course meal Complimentary wine under $100 for the both of us. I know it was a special dinner but if this is how they always cook, then I recommend it. Definitely will come again to try out their other menu. Damn forgot to take a photo of the desserts 😃

Really bad experience arrived 7.15pm ordered pork spare ribs and crispy grilled chicken with Risotto. after 1hr and 15 minutes we asked what was happening with our meal, we were told it will be out in a couple minutes. we were sitting near the serving counter and I noticed a meal sitting there which looked like the Spare ribs? 10 minutes passed and my risotto was ready and served with the spare ribs that had been sitting there for 10+ minutes, needless to say the spare ribs were cold! My chicken risotto was awful, the chicken was tough and very dry the crispy skin fell off and was crispy and so I ate it left the chicken and the risotto was not cooked properly but i was so hungry I ate most of it my wife tried the chicken as she couldn't eat the cold pork and said it was off! We called over the manager who apologized for the delay and cold meal and offered us a handful of drink vouchers and reduced the price of the meal but there was more to come I woke up during the night with stomach cramp and bloating, lots of burping with smell of chicken., by morning I was on the toilet and missed a days work with diarrhea and sitting on the toilet which i have just getting over today Thursday. Yesterday I sent them an email but haven't had a reply?? It is pretty obvious now that the chicken was left-over and reheated and dropped onto the under cooked Risotto which was the only thing served to us that was hot, I guess they forgot to cook the risotto until we questions the delay, then quickly cooked it, chucked the old repurposed chicken under the grille to make it crispy and served it. I would say the chicken was already smelly, very poor food management by the chef. you don't expect to get Bali Belly in a restaurant...

The Landmark.

Located at the Gateway in Palmerston. Buses pull up right outside averting the need to drive and they have wheelchair access.

Met a couple of mates there on Saturday 25 June 2022. We got there about 1100 am and pulled up stumps after a fun day, drinking, eating, yarning and watching the football. Very relaxed, we had a good day.

Great decour with main bar, dining room, beer garden and big screen TVs with a variety of sports and music channels; there were parts of it I didn't even get to eg. functions room and dance floor.

Ice cold $5 Schooners and $6 Pints across a large range of tap beers and $5 spirits with live music from 5 pm every Saturday; and the beers went down well.

Good menu and reasonably priced meals that were delivered to our table in the beer garden although I thought the steaks were a bit dear. A mate had the $15 burger with chips and said it was good, another mate and myself each ordered from wide range of wood fired pizzas - 12" @ $22 each - they were filling with plenty of toppings and well worth it.

Staff were prompt and friendly and despite there being a lot of people, it didn't feel crowded and you didn't have to wait long for service.

In summary, the place has a good feel - it's well lit with natural lighting, clean, spacious and reasonably priced with good service and lots of variety in food, drink and entertainment.

We'll definitely being going back to The Landmark at Gateway, Palmerston for the Saturday...

Took my family out tonight for a feed. One of my family member’s is celiac, she ordered a meal and they said it’s Gluten Free, after paying they said the chips aren’t gluten free so we asked to swap for salad or veg, they refused to swap, it was either chips or no chips, we said no chips. They then informed us that the burger wasn’t gluten free and that the “house made patties” are from a packet so they can’t say if it’s 100% GF, they then said no other GF meal is GF, we then got steak and veg instead which we had to pay an additional 25$ for. Absolutely ridiculous. The chicken burger is wet and soggy battered chicken, with a sour sauce and coleslaw that tasted off. Terrible experience, chef’s do not understand what Gluten Free is and were not polite or helpful. Will not be returning. They cannot pour Guinness correctly. I left my sunglasses on the table and when i returned to see if they were there, the waiter was wearing them on her head. The colouring pencils were not sharpened. My autistic child stabbed himself 7 times after sharpening and there was no selection of colouring in pages. Extremely upsetting for a sensitive and...
