Wood You Furniture — Local services in New Providence

I ordered a table top slab and cabinet. The table was delivered twice with terrible finish qualities. It had scratches and paint under the finish, depressions where it was over sanded, gauges in the wooden, raw fibers and splinters sticking out, dented corners, saw burn marks. They tried to deliver it again and hoped I wouldn't notice.

The third time they delivered it was a new slab and it still had many of the flaws as the first like scratches under the finish, puttied spots, pock marks. The next time it was ready, I went to Wood You in Palmdale to approve the final product. They insisted that the slab the were showing me was the second "new" slab. I kept telling them they were wrong and they were showing me the first slab. I pulled out pictures and dates and showed them without a doubt that they were asking me to approve the first slab. They then searched and found the second "new" slab and dusted it off for approval.

After we agreed upon what we were looking at, I saw that the flaws were still there. They then insisted I wouldn't get the quality I was looking for and I have to agree. The condition of their work space would never allow for quality work to be achieved. Their "workshop" is in the second story of their retail shop in Palmdale and it is a hazardous mess-up there. It is not properly fitted as a workshop with equipment, tools, ventilation, vac system, etc. As a consumer it is very misleading because the products look great on display before they are finished but you don't actually see what you are purchasing.

At the outset, I told them I was interesting in buying two slab but I would consider the second slab after I saw the quality of the first. Once the first slab was a hard fail I offered to buy it at a discount. Instead they sold it to someone else without offering first refusal. My patience and commitment to them turned out to be a waste of time and money.
