Tropical Gyros — Restaurant in New Providence

Either JFK gets my order wrong, forgets the drink , or I call 30 mins prior to arrival & still had to wait 50 mins after I arrived & paid. Guess what, my order was sitting there & the food was already cold because they forgot to call my number, even though I checked 2 times to inquire why it was taking so long. When the lady finally noticed my order was sitting there, instead of apologizing for her error she laughed. She literally thought it was funny but I never complained. Just Friday past I ordered 2 lemon chicken bowls & a gyro with salad. My order is always the same & my bill is always about $46:15….just shy of $50 & that’s a lot of money to spend twice a week & not get what I’m paying for. Anyway, the Chicken had a red sauce so I took it back. The 2 plates was dropped in the trash & made again……..this time they forgot the plantains from one plate. My Son & I are both plantain lovers so YES it pissed me off, but If I had returned they would label me as an angry or difficult customer. I never had a problem with Palmdale Branch. As much as I like the food, I will spend my money someplace else before I go back to JFK….it’s just too exhausting to get good service or what...

I have eaten here many times before and I can truly say sometimes it's a hit n miss type restaurant . when it's good it's really good and when it's bad...it's a mess! Yesterday April 16th 2024 it was a mess I ordered a lamb gyro with fries. The gyro meat, not sure it was lamb, was extremely tough and fatty. There was no flavor and it was served with mango and lettuce only , it was sloppily prepared. The french fries were overly seasoned with, what is usually the highlight of having their fries. They were cold and inedible it was truly the worst meal I have ever had from them. Just a week prior to this I had the three cheeseburger gyro, it was phenomenal, well made and delicious, it took a long time but it was worth the wait. I will caution the owner, the quality of the food has really decreased tremendously in the RND Plaza location, since it was opened just...

I must say I’ve been a patron at this establishment for years and the food is almost always satisfying. However lately . The food has been less than. For several weeks now theres always something wrong with my meal, the pita is too hard or dry . So I literally stopped purchasing for awhile . Today , I said it’s a new year let’s see. Again very disappointed. I waited 38mins exact for my shrimp gyro with salad only for it to be cold , the shrimp 5mins later when I got back to work . I work in the area as well so there’s absolutely no reason for my food to be cold after waitin 38mins for it. Someone pleeeeeease fix this...
