Unsanitary: the guy didn't use gloves and handled the food and operated the cash register with his bare hands. Not sure if that's normal in Belgium but in North America that's a food safety violation. There was also a curly hair on my ice cream which is absolutely wild. So gross but I was already committed, it was quick and only 2€, so I wiped off the area and ate it anyway.
The guy seemed useless when it came to asking about ingredients for allergens. He wasn't helpful, just said he didn't know. Then i asked if he could check. The girl working shared a card with common allergens. She was much more helpful.

They were sampling some almond cookies which were delicious but 27€ for a tin which seems quite expensive. I don't think personally they were worth the price.
This shop should train all their staff with proper food handling procedures and how to work with food allergies. If they're trying to sell luxury, they should at least meet (and exceed) the food safety procedures of fast food...

The hand cookies are shaped like a hand and have thinly sliced almonds. They are crunchy but not hard, they l taste like butter and just good quality ingredients. The madeleines were soft and fresh and moist and had that melt in your mouth goodness.
Worth every euro. These are excellent cookies...
