Worst office rental experience ever. I've rented offices with Silversquare and WeWork, but my private office experience in Spaces Tour & Taxis Brussels was extremely bad. I've stayed with them for a year, but have decided I had enough.
They are not keeping promises: Renewal proposals that increase the price with 40% instead of the promised max of 10%. That's not even close to the actual inflation rate. I complained the first time and they reduced the increase to 9.25%. Second renewal proposal was 47,59% higher than the second time. So after one year their prices have gone up with 61.26%. Leasing for 12 month instead of 3 or 6 is weirdly enough always much more expensive. But the previous point made clear why that is. The private office has never ever been cleaned. I have done that myself and now I get a cleaning bill for 355 EUR, now that I am going to leave them. The office is sparkling clean, I haven't used their phone system or their furniture. It was dirty when I came in and cleaned when I left. Almost nobody wears a mask, nobody is respecting the Covid-19 safety measures. Their employees aren't wearing masks, even when walking around (except for one person). They've had multiple internet connection issues, for which no compensation is offered, of course. After internet was out, their "cloud printer" is no longer connected for a few days and you'll need to use a USB stick. They lease their printer/scanner, which means you pay for scans as well. I didn't care much for the logo on the door, but they promised that too and never delivered even though I have sent them the designs. They of course lost my mail. When you ask something by mail, they need like 4 business days to answer. You have to ask them face to face. There's no way to self serve in the bar (except for coffee and tea): you need to the receptionist to get a bottle of water (if you can find them). They have a lot of trust issues, because at some point you even had to ask for tea at the reception. They don't have very good facilities: very few (and expensive) meeting rooms, so everyone calls in the hallways. Only one coffee machine, one very small fridge per floor, ...
Even though they were more expensive than Tribes and WeWork, I chose them because I wanted quality, but the service was really bad and just charge outrageous amounts of money for that lack of service.
--- Update after reaction
I have contacted the spaces center already and it was made very clear to me that there is no way that I can get out of the restauration costs. The outrageous price is justified because they say they repaint the office as well, because 355 EUR is 10 hours of professional cleaning. We all know that offices are not repainted and I definitely also know that all "restauration" that is done is just moving the desks a bit. No cleaning, no painting, nothing... The restauration costs are part of the House Rules which are sent to people after they sign a lease. But anyway, I payed your stupid bill.
End of the month, I'm out, and I'm never ever returning to a Spaces, IWG or Regus...
Read moreMy worst experience ever. For me it was “Welcome to hell.” instead “Welciome home”. Some members of the team are noisy, over-familiar or haughty. How is it possible that the new sale manager don’t introduce herself to the tenants or even say hello when she met them in the corridor ? How is it possible that the community assistant roll her eyes when you ask her an information or ask her to fix something ? I talk about the situation to the IWG Country Manager and everything got worst after sharing it with him. When I listen to the audio of the meeting he agreed with me but he did nothing for changes....
