La Crèche des Artistes — Restaurant in Brussels

I want to leave a bad review. My birthday was on Friday. My family and I went to the restaurant to order dessert and drinks. The waitress came and brought aperitifs, it was unexpected and pleasant. But then... After our order, the waitress said that she will not serve us, as a mandatory condition for visiting the restaurant is the order of main dishes. And that we take the places of other people who can fully order meals. She also said we could have a free prosecco, which she had brought as a complement. I was very upset, as we did not know that it is necessary to order a complete dinner. We would have happily ordered mains, but we were full. I'm shocked that your restaurant could show a bad side, because your waitress could still take the order. And then warn so that this situation does not happen...

Came here for lunch with clients and colleagues. We got a nice table and service was very friendly. It got really busy in the restaurant and it gets very loud, but ok… Ads to the “Italian experience”. Food however was dissapointing. Had a croquette for starter and it was cold (like almost frozen) in the middle and had a tasteless play-dough structure. Had the beef tagliata as a main, which was served on a burning hot plate so by the time I received my dish it was almost well done instead of medium-rare. There are hardly any sides with the dishes, which also is typical Italian - but here in Belgium you pay triple the price as you’d pay in Italy. Dessert was just ok. Coffee was bad. Very expensive for what they offer. Starter was very good. Carpacchio with beef and traffles and Saint Jacques. About 30+ minutes later and after we asked for some bread because we were hungry they brought us our pasta. Cold pasta, very hot sauce, average taste. Will I come back? No! Update. I thought it was 30 mins but we realised we spent 1h and 30 mins here. The waiters are doing their best but for so many tables having 3 people...
