City Pizza — Local services in Burlington

City Pizza on Mountainside in Burlington Ontario is a horrible place to try and buy pizza slices! The first time I went in was when they first opened. I wanted to buy 8 slices, cheese and pepperoni but they only had four slices that were neither of these. I was told the only way I could get this is if I buy a pizza that is more expensive than the slices! This was at 11 in the morning and the slices looked like they were from the day before. I left with nothing. The next day I went in to complain to the manager and the owner was there. He apologized claiming the staff was new, one of the staff was his wife. I went back on July 14, again wanting to buy 8 cheese and pepperoni slices and again they only had three slices that were neither of these. Again I was told, by the owner and his wife this time, that I would have to buy a pizza if I wanted these. Again I left with nothing!!! On August 12 I thought I would give it one last chance. I went in to buy 6 slices of cheese and they only had slices with meat on it. I was than advised by the wife that if I wanted cheese slices I would have to buy what they had and she could pick off the toppings for me... YUCK!!! I am so disappointed with this place!!! We always went to the City Pizza on New Street and we have NEVER had an issue. They are more than accommodating and have always gone out of their way to make us happy!!! Unfortunately they are far away so we were so excited when this one opened up. This one seems to be nothing but a scam to get customers to buy a whole pizza. We had done a very large order spent almost $300. It was for a charity night. They messed up the order. They forgot stuff that they had to come back. The pizza is delicious. I will give them credit or credit is due however, the last time I went to use them, I placed my order online. I got my receipt. The only thing I forgot my phone. I went to pick up my order. They didn’t get it so I had to replace my order the guy behind the counter started screaming at me, telling me that I could not get the exact same order that I ordered online because I had to order online they didn’t seem to understand if I tried to order online anyways long story short I won’t go back there. They’re not accommodating I will go anywhere else.!! Fortino’s has a great pizza just as inexpensive. Domino’s is right there Pizza nova lots of other pizza places Pizza Hut. Just saying yes the quality is good. Their prices are inexpensive, the staff became very rude to me. I will start by saying the pizza was delicious and reasonably priced. However that does not make up for the lack of service.

I placed my order online and was told 20mins. I arrived at the store and my name was on the order screen showing the status as “packed”, meaning complete. I asked for my order, and the employee behind the counter told me it wasn’t ready yet and would be a few minutes more.

I understand it was a Friday and they were busy. That normally would not be an issue to wait a few more minutes.

Those “few minutes” turned into an hour wait. And I wasn’t the only one. To make matters worse, other customers came in with orders place after mine and were served first. There appeared to be no process to how they made peoples orders.
