Oliver Twist Liquor Store — Local services in Burnaby

Worst run business I’ve ever encountered. The price showing on a modelo was 16.50 but the price rang up to 17.80. This is clearly false advertising and I wouldnt make a big deal out of a dollar but the way I was treated by the cashier Navneet makes me want to make this review. I asked for the price to match what the sticker says but she refused, then I asked to speak to the manager but she told me they don’t have a manager on site. Also they are not reachable by phone or email. I also offered to leave my contact information but she refused. She gave me some excuse about the shipment being on this day and they haven’t updated the price yet. Well I fail to see how that is any of my problem. It is up to the store to keep their price up to date not the customer and she refused any responsibility. No other business handles things this way and I would stay far away for a good experience. This is my go-to place, and it’s independently owned so I can rest easy knowing my money isn’t going straight to the government. And honestly it’s not much more expensive in pricing than the BCLB anyways. Plus the BCLB has crappy cold selections and all the shelves have been stripped because of the “tariffs”. Whereas this place has an entire walk-in cold room… just like we used to back home. Im not just saying it’s the best because I live near by, im saying it’s the best for so many reasons. There is a female cashier that is openly rude to returning customers, she doesnt dress appropriately or present herself professionally. I prefer being helped by the other employees, whom help without attitude, eye rolling, or rude comments. May tell the local community to avoid this liquor store all together if they dont hold their employees to employment standard dress code, and behavior.
