Horrible experience! Don't come here, save your money and go somewhere else, there's plenty of other way better places around the same street. We came here on Tuesday (May 21/2024) evening around 8:45pm and the waitress working at that time was absolutely horrible. The worst service we have ever experienced. First she WAITS for us to order and while we are waiting for our food she tell us that the restaurant closes at 9:30pm. Why not tell us as soon as we walk in? Why tell us right after putting our order in. Also online it says the restaurant closes 10PM but according to her it closes at 9PM. Next, I ordered kimichi fried rice, I made it very clear that I do NOT want the pork option but she ends up serving us the one with tiny pieces of pork and then when we ask her she says shes not sure it might have some beef or pork mixed inside it like WHAT?? Not to mention this was happening along with her coming every minute (Literally! I swear I cannot make this up) asking if we need to go boxes when we JUST got our food. She insisted on us leaving around 9PM and once she gave us our to go boxes she couldn't wait for us to finish packing our food, while we were packing our food she came and started taking dishes that we were STILL packing, we were CLEARLY standing and transferring the food to the to go boxes and she was taking dishes we were still packing instead of waiting for a second for us to finish packing. Absolutely insane. Such gross behavior, super fake (just apologizes whilst still doing the VERY thing she's apologizing for) and disgusting. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Can't believe we ended up...

Came here for dinner rwith the boys. This place used to be cattle cafe, Chicken + Sul Bing and now Han Sang Korean restaurant. With the change, they no longer have Sul Bing, but they still have the Korean fried chicken and alot of Korean staples.

We ordered the Crispy Fried Chicken and Rice Cake Combo and a Kalbi Soup. The fried chicken was crispy and very hot. The rice cake we ordered was mild, so that it wasn't so spicy for the boys. This made a really good combo as we used the sauce from the rice cake for the fried chicken. The Kalbi Soup was surprising cause you normally get the smaller black bowls at most restaurants, this one was served in the metal noodle bowls which are quite a bit bigger. There were two Kalbi pieces that were an inch thick. Overall food was pretty good.

It is relatively new, but I am surprised it hasn't garnered more people. When we arrived at about 7:20, it was just us. Half an hour later there's are two more groups. The interior hasn't changed much from the chicken plus days. Atmosphere wise, it's good, but would be nice if there were more customers.

Price wise, it is pretty good value for money when compared to other Korean places. There are at least 4 in the area and their prices are a little higher or serving sizes are a little smaller. We are small people and couldn't finish everything. So if you are bigger, you might have a...

If you're on the hunt for Korean cuisine in Metro Vancouver, HanSang Korean Cuisine is a family-run restaurant that initially impressed me. Having explored countless Korean restaurants in the area, I gave it a glowing 5-star review after my first visit, unaware at the time of an issue I later discovered.

The family dynamic of the restaurant is undeniably charming: the parents expertly prepare the dishes, while their daughter delivers warm and attentive service. The portions are generous, and during my first visit, the food was exceptional, featuring high-quality ingredients and flavorful seafood dishes. It truly felt like one of the best Korean dining experiences in the area.

However, on a later visit, I noticed a clear inconsistency in the dishes. The seafood variety that had initially wowed me was absent, the soup was reduced to plain vegetable, and the side dishes seemed downgraded. It was disappointing to realize that the high standards I experienced during my first visit weren’t maintained.

While the restaurant still has its strengths and a menu that caters to all ages and preferences, the inconsistency in ingredients and quality makes me hesitant about returning. I initially rated HanSang Korean Cuisine higher, but this discovery has led me to reassess my recommendation. Consistency is an area they could improve upon to truly live up to...

If you are looking for high quality but affordable Korean food, this is the place to be. There’s a lot of options here: stews, cold noodles, street-food style options. I recommend the daily special personally. For 17 dollars, I got a big bowl of bimbimbap (fresh and super tasty), seafood soybean paste stew (hearty with clams and shrimp), crispy and light vegetable pancake, and an assortment of side dishes (great quality with free refills). Also got a street-style sausage / rice cake skewer that just hit the craving perfectly. The service is top notch: Steve and Angela were both immensely friendly and elevated the experience (check out the surprise watermelon we got, tasted amazing). They also mentioned that they offered meal kit options (which judging from the amount they had ready for pickup, is something that I’m definitely missing out on). Overall, will definitely be back. This is a place you definitely should check out!
