Circle K — Local services in Calgary

Store is stocked okay but it's no 7-11. This particular location is 24 hours, has an ATM and a forever present collection of characters on its door step. Their level of engagement ranges from catatonic to alert enough to open the door for you ( spare change would be appreciated on exit). Never had any issues here crossing this gauntlet of semi- conscious individuals but the store closes randomly so the clerk can get things in order. Around 5 minutes at a time. Don't shop here for prepaid gift cards because the " system" is perpetually on the fritz. Friendly enough staff with an occasional language barrier present. Everyone is doing their best. Pizza and liquor next door make this plaza a one stop late night spot. I wish you could get a CAN of Coca Cola but 10 freezers and not a can of Coke anywhere. Come on Circle K , why no cans? I work two blocks from here so usually get coffe and other stuff. The giy is usually friendly. But... tonight I bought an usb cable to use on the car but it didn't work with android auto. I tried to explain the guy that maybe the cable could charge but surely couldn't handle the heavy data needed for android auto. The guy gave me another. I tried to same results. Then the guy was reluctant to return my money and implied that I was a scammer or some kind of trickster. This is a great location serving 4th street. It’s clean outside and in. The selection of convenient store items is on par with similar businesses. They always seem to have a fresh hotdog and taquito selection. The staff is friendly enough considering the local homeless population they deal with on a daily basis. There’s always free parking stalls available. I wouldn’t expect to use the restroom’s here as for the reasons...
