I had a very disappointing experience at this Circle K location last night, and I feel it’s important to share so others are aware and so the company can hopefully address it.
I walked in simply needing to use the washroom. There were two staff members present — one of them, a middle-aged man, completely ignored me at first, and then when I asked politely, he responded in a very rude and dismissive tone. He told me, “We don’t have a public washroom,” even though I could clearly see the washroom in the store. There was no explanation, no courtesy — just a flat-out denial with an attitude that made me feel like I was being a bother just for asking.
It wasn’t just the refusal that bothered me — I understand some locations may have different policies — it was the tone, rudeness, and complete lack of respect shown. As a paying customer (or even just a person in need), I don’t think it’s too much to expect to be spoken to like a human being.
Circle K needs to take situations like this seriously. Denying someone a basic facility like a washroom — especially when one is visibly there — and doing it with such disrespect is not acceptable. Staff should be trained to communicate policies in a kind, professional manner. No one should feel embarrassed or disrespected for something as simple as asking to use the washroom.
I hope management looks into this location and takes appropriate steps to ensure future customers are...

I went to load money on my laundry card machine said 5 10 20 acceptable.. I asked for change for a $50, was told this was not possible put $50 in machine to see if it had been updated.. expected that if it was not acceptable, then $50 would be returned. The machine ate my $50. Told me they could not help me and to contact the supplier of the machine (which I now have to do... with no guarantee of resolution. . If only there was a warning sign!!!) asked manager to put a sign up advising customers of this problem - was told it was "my problem", and that he "could not put up a sign since it is not my machine"
I got an idea from looking at his limp white face that he may have given me a different answer if I was blonde and shapely.

Read moreI rarely post reviews, but this experience truly shocked me. At this Circle K location, the staff on duty acted as if he owned the place standing with his arms crossed, showing no professionalism or courtesy. He was shouting from behind the COVID screen, making it hard for customers to communicate, and instead of trying to listen or help, he became rude and dismissive.
What hurt the most was being told to leave and that they didn’t need my business. No customer deserves to be treated with such disrespect. This kind of behavior reflects poorly not only on the store but also on the company’s standards for customer service.
With only a 2.5-star rating, I can now see why. I truly hope Circle K’s management and even our city leadership take notice, businesses should treat customers with dignity...
