Marble Slab Creamery — Local services in Calgary

We arrived at marble slab mahogany this evening at 9pm to which was busy about 5 other customers in front of us. Which took 40 minutes for them to get to us in the line. Upon getting to us we asked if there was any cheesecake in the back and we were told yes. Upon trying the ice cream just after we left the store we realized it was NOT cheesecake she went back in and we’re told “oops we’re busy nothing I can do”. The second ice cream we ordered we requested strawberries, raspberries and sprinkles. There was only juice left in the raspberries and were told they did not have any left in store. Then the man behind us also ordered them and the worker helping him grabbed more from the back then when I asked why he was able to get some but not her she said “oh he grabbed the rest of them”. We also both ordered our ice cream in cones and received them in cups and were told they could not fix it afterwards. I understand it’s the first week of warm weather. However waiting 40 minutes for ice cream, receiving the wrong kind, being sold out of everything for one customer but having some in the back for another and the ice cream being melted is completely unacceptable to be paying over $20 for...

We have tried the Marble Slab in Mahogany a handful of times. Our experiences there had been quite good, until this evening. The young man behind the counter who served us was extremely rude, and barely acknowledged us to take our orders. He appeared to be in a big rush to get our orders prepared, yet there were only my daughter and I and another pair of customers ahead of us in the store. He got my daughter's ice cream flavour wrong, but she didn't dare say anything in fear of escalating the situation. He even yelled across the pair of customers in front of us to ask which toppings she wanted on her ice cream. She wanted additional toppings, but again was afraid to ask. I didn't bother asking for anything extra either because of the way we were being rushed and treated. At that point we just wanted to get our ice cream and leave. His body language and attitude was just plain rude, he didn't even say 'thank you' after we paid for our order. We will be going to the other Marble Slab location, where the employees actually know politeness and how to deal...

Update, It’s been 2 years since we’ve been here last and the service somehow got worse. Below was our first experience here and I’m not sure if it the same or new owners but definitely no improvement. I see most of the reviews seem to reflect the same level of service I received.

On July 11 we ordered 2 regular ice creams and both were made by the same girl. Neither of our ice creams were mixed at all, the one had one large lump of cookie dough on the side and a bunch of cookies on the bottom and the other had raspberry and m&ms that were also not mixed in at all. Very lazy servers and if we would have noticed before we were already driving we would have returned, ask her name and made a complaint to the manager. $15 plus for 2 ice creams is expensive and I feel the least they can do is give a quality product. Not a great start here...
