I love Kinjo and have been going there for years since they first opened on Macleod. But I was very disappointed in the Mahogany location on Wednesday Nov 13, 2024 at 11:30 I waited 30 minutes to get served water and Tea. I asked several times and after half of our food arrived we finally got our drinks and the low sodium soy sauce. And the wasabi was old and dry. I also ordered a roll that I ordered every time I go called kawari Oshizushi and asked frigate the large eggs be switched to small ones, the waiter said he had to ask the kitchen, I told him ok but I always get it like that. He came back and said his supervisor said they can't do that. I asked why as I had always ordered it that way at this location and other locations. He said do you want to talk to my supervisor. I said no just leave the fish eggs off. I had also asked that they only sear half of the salmon as my friend didn't like the searing The roll came and was completely seared. I asked the waiter and he said we can't sear just half. Now I was really upset, as yes they can because I order it like that all the time. The service was terrible he never came to ask if we wanted anything else and they were not busy We then ordered oysters and I asked for baked oysters. They cane and they were raw. We questioned this and he said we don't make baked oysters. So we said why didn't you tell us that when we ordered Baked oysters? This server was quite rude to us both.

Today I went to the Macleod location. The service was excellent. Our drinks were brought right away. Our server checked on us repeatedly asking if she could get anything else. They made the Kawari Oshizushi roll the way I asked with the small eggs. And the Macleod location was very busy and we had great service picture attached is from the...

We ordered take out. Ginger and wasabi ( our favourite part) was missing for my 2 rolls , asked to made sure everything for the rolls was there , one packed it the other double checked it . Got a double yes and after eating the chicken it wasn’t fully cooked and gooey inside. My son started eating before me and said it’s so mushie and when I looked it wasn’t fully cooked. Hope he doesn’t get sick, he ate 2 out of the 6 of the $1 pieces and his Bubble tea was wrong paid extra for the aloe , as my son doesn’t like the pearls . Only thing we ate were the small bowl of udon noodles and edamame. So disappointed especially with a long day of work and still have activities my child has around dinner. Why must I ask if it’s correct and then a yes and find out it’s not at all. Home now and the drive there and back 30 mins plus the gas . I have no time or energy . Is it my wrongs for not checking and the chicken , or what’s in the bag?? u don’t know until u bite into it. Last picture is what’s left. Lost our appetite after eating and seeing the chicken. Bubble tea still full , rolls aren’t the same without the condiments. Only thing my son ate were the beans and half the noodles. So disappointing as this cost half of what I made today. Went back to eat the rest and found this in the rice , usual went I go I’m happy but today was a...

RAW EGGS!!! Kinjo repeatedly serves their sunny side eggs raw, and refuses to cook their eggs longer when asked. By raw, i mean the egg white is still clear and runny - as if you just cracked the eggshell. Asked my serving staff to have the egg cooked for 10 seconds longer, and she refused. I asked for a manager, and got a supervisor instead... which told me he gets ALOT of requests for longer cooked eggs but because of corporate policy the kitchen refuses to cook eggs longer. This is very alarming, that raw eggs are being served, and then request of just 10 seconds longer being cooked are being rejected - like the staff cannot see past black and white or think for themselves. I am reporting this health violation to the health board, and cannot wait to see this business impacted by a visit from a health inspector.

EDIT: I ordered the Steamed Eggs as a temporary solution BECAUSE YOUR STAFF REFUSED TO COOK MY SUNNY SIDE UP EGGS PROPERLY. This is a perfect example of how your staff have not relayed proper information to you... I have already submitted a complaint to Alberta Health Services - Environmental Public Health... and i look forward to following up with this legally if required. You and your staff are poorly handling this escalation. This needs to be taken...

We came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't too busy. We had spicy miso ramen, tiger roll, takoyaki, $1.50 fried chicken (ginger garlic and spicy BBQ), doughnut fries ($2.50), and kids platter ($2.50!!) We honestly really liked everything this time, especially for the price and portion you get. We were really impressed by the kids platter for a really low price! Where else can you get $2.50 these days? Even McDonald's fries is $3. The portion was huge and it was tasty!! No complaints. Do note that it is only for kids under 10 years old, and dine in only. Kids drinks are only $1.50 each too! The doughnut fries is tasted like churros or apple pie-ish. I enjoyed it. The $1.50 fried chicken were actually a decent size, and the flavours were good! They had an Asian fusion taste. The spicy miso ramen and tiger roll tasted average. But overall, we enjoyed our meal. Our server was really nice and friendly as well. Items coming out of the kitchen took some time though, so keep that in mind.
