Pinnovate DIY Art Studio — Attraction in Calgary

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Pinnovate for my daughter’s birthday party. We chose the Build-A-Bear / Stuff-A-Bear activity, and from start to finish it was fantastic. The atmosphere was fun, inclusive, and positive—exactly what you’d hope for at a kid’s party.

Our instructor, Ms. Jess, along with her equally awesome helper (sorry—cannot for the life of me remember her name… let’s just call her the “Additional Pinnovate Person of Awesomeness”), deserve a gold medal (and maybe a standing ovation) for their ability to keep 10 very different kids fully entertained, engaged, and smiling the entire time. Their energy, patience, and genuine enthusiasm made the whole experience unforgettable.

The staff as a whole were wonderful—friendly, organized, and clearly committed to making things run smoothly. The party started right on time, stayed on schedule, and somehow still felt relaxed and easy for everyone.

I couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out, and the kids are still talking about it days later. If you’re looking for a unique, well-run, joy-filled kid’s birthday party experience in Calgary, I can’t recommend Pinnovate (and especially Ms. Jess and her Partner in Awesomeness)...

We had my granddaughter's party here on the weekend. It was booked for 10, 5-6 year olds, and we were told that the kids would be using the splatter room plus there would be an activity to do while pairs were splattering. There were 2 staff supposedly coordinating the party. It was outrageously expensive, the splatter craft was so-so, and the other 'activity', which we had to prompt the staff on, was an uninteresting colouring page and some crayons. The kids began running around the tables loudly, because they were bored out of their minds!! I asked the one staff ( the only one interacting with the kids in any way) if they had any other activity ideas, and she managed to drum up a trivia game on her phone. I guess we expected that for almost $500 for 2 hours, there would be 1) staff that knew how to interact with children that age, 2) enough engaging activity to keep them entertained, or 3) let us know that the actual craft part is only going to be 40 minutes so be prepared to entertain them yourself. NEVER again!!! Biggest waste of...

Pinnovate definitely lived up to its expectation as a friend and I participated in terrarium Tuesday. I was so surprised by the amount of care they put into everything. We had personalized milk drinking jars and everyone there would call us by name and just had the best service.

I didn't think much of ordering food there but it was surprisingly really good pizza. Plus you can never go wrong with Cake Bake Shoppe cupcakes.

I just ordered a soda but my friend ordered a bottle of wine to sip which was a really nice touch and would be great for girls night (especially if I don't need to drive!)

The instruction was really informative without being overbearing and everyone had completely different terrariums which was really cool to see at the end.

I would strongly recommend going to this workshop. I hope to come back for another project in the future.
