Disappointing Decline from a Beloved Course
Date of visit: July 19, 2025
We've visited Mariners Cove Mini Golf on our family trips for years; going back to the early 2000's, and it holds a special place in our memories. This course is truly designed like a shrunken golf course, with challenging angles and traps mixed with easier holes, making it perfect for families with older children or experienced adult players. It once had a unique charm that made it a must-visit on our itinerary.
However, it's clear the course grounds are no longer maintained to their former standard, which is disheartening to see.
As the attached photos clearly show: The sand traps are bare and unkempt (Photo 1), and the putting greens are noticeably dirty (Photo 2) with debris and small rocks, making for a frustrating playing experience.
Even the hole signage is starting to rot away, with badly worn staining and blank spaces where stickers once read "Mariners Cove" and a brief description of the hole (Photo 3). Adding to the issues, the "river" feature that runs through the course is now filled with smelly, stagnant water, dead leaves, and rotting vegetation (Photo 4).
It's particularly sad to see the once beautiful landscaping neglected. What was a charming feature, with vibrant flowers and manicured beds, has become overgrown, with plants spilling out and looking more like a nuisance than an attraction.
While the $10 fee is modest, the current state of disrepair makes it feel like money that could be better spent elsewhere considering our 8 person group. The overall impression is one of significant and prolonged neglect, and I truly hope the course gets the attention it deserves to restore it to its former glory.
I don't often take the time to write such a detailed review—I hope you receive it in the spirit it was given, as a plea for a beloved course to be brought...
Read morePoorly designed mini golf course. Just over half the holes are downhill, making it incredibly difficult to accurately set up a second shot, ending in frustrated players, even when you're just there to have fun. Most, if not all, of the holes hardly have any even ground at all, and the differences in level are sometimes near imperceptible. No borders/walls around each course coupled with the uneven ground and massive declines means you'll be going off the course almost every hole. There is also a lack of traction, and so you can't bank on the ball reacting differently with different terrain aside from the sand traps. Lastly, the holes all seemed relatively homogeneous in terms of design, and it didn't feel like we were playing a unique hole each time.
Do not recommend. There are other mini golf places right nearby, and they are definitely more likely to give you...
Read moreThis place was an oaky mini Golf place. I've been to better ones I just found with this one. You have a high chance of losing your ball in the water which happened about 4 or 5 times. Because it, if you hit it just too much, it would bounce off a rock or the way that the courses slopes it aims for the water which doesn't make sense that they don't have a gate up or some type of net that catched the balls, I feel like if they did, it would make things a little bit easier plus it's really bumpy. So the ground isn't very flat, so if you're aiming for a straight shot, there's a good chance that the ball will just curve on its own, regardless of how straight your shot is. I would like to see some money put into fixing it up and making it a little bit better. So that is the reason why i'm giving it a four star instead of five, but I did have...
