We have been using Yoshi's in North Vancouver for about 5 fishing seasons now. Experimented this year, got the halibut and ling cod smoked as well as the regular spring salmon. I can not recommend highly enough trying different fish if you have the opportunity. The smoked halibut seems to be the best, most likely because it is a fairly oily fish to start with. The quality is good, but the pricing is ridiculous. $80 per kilogram? For frozen wholesale? It’s literally cheaper at the grocery store, already sliced and thawed and ready to eat.

Don’t call yourself “wholesale” if you charge more than Whole Foods.

My other supplier, a small local Squamish home operation, charges only $50 per kilogram and it’s delicious, they can deliver fresh or frozen.

Only best words for Masa's smokehouse. Working with them for last 3 years and never had any problem. Very friendly crew and the boss is always there to help out and explain everything. If you have fresh fish don't put it in freezer. Bring it here and let the professionals do they work. If you like your fish dry, go for double smoked. Packaging is great and last...
