Windsor Meats — Local services in District of North Vancouver

Normally I don't leave a review like this but I feel like I must. I've bought several steaks there before and they are a bit higher in price but due to the location in edgemont, I was fine with that. Yesterday I wanted to get a rack or two of beef ribs. The gentleman at the counter was nice as usual and went to the fridge to grab the rack. Now, normally a rack is like 8 or so bones. He brought out two, I'm gonna call it 5 bone racks. Sure. Alright. And they were fairly large. When he weighed them it came up to $142.xx! Then magically pressing more buttons, it actually came to $211.52 I think. It was def $211 though. First off, ribs are ribs. There is no filet mignon cut of ribs. There is NO EXCUSE for someone with a straight face to ring up $211 for what I'm calling 1 rack of ribs. I'm sure I came off as rude because I started laughing and I just left. Went TWO BLOCKS up the street to Thriftys and got two 8+ bone racks for less than $60 total.....with tax. I will never set foot in Windsors again. It's a shame because they are some nice folks. But you cannot charge 7-8x the price of another place 2 blocks away. Go see Sanchez at Thriftys. Or go to Two Rivers. I absolutely love this place, they carry Super High quality products and their staff is very friendly + knowledgeable. The other day I was in a pinch and wanted to pick up something that was premade as I was too tired to cook a meal up from scratch; So I got a container of their meatball marinara and holy! Was it ever delicious. Each bite was heavenly and I couldn’t get over how tasty and satisfying it was.
