Sashimi 20$ the smallest portion I have ever saw The California taste bad expensive and not the best I have what to compare with my total came to almost 40$ and I'm still hungry for that price I can find much better restaurants and much better food Thanks that is my last visit in that place I'm still thinking that sushi garden it's the best place in gva it's not an advertising just for that price you gonna get there much better food with much bigger portions and it will coast less for sure

Let's be honest, people. You have the right to legitimately complain, but it doesn't make sense when you talk about the quality or the taste of the food here. It is THE best sushi in upper North Van, no doubt. Maybe it's not the type of service expected in this country, but I can get the service needed and amazing sushi that matters.

The assorted sashimi plate was very nice!! It is just an assorted bowl up to the chef. Great presentation. It was enough for small portions for two people. My favourites were the salmon and the shrimp, it tasted very fresh! The place itself isn’t big, if you’re a big party you might have to split up or sit at the counter

Very rude. Terrible customer service.

Addendum: Just reading this restaurants response to my review now and since their response is dishonest, I will elaborate on my experience. I remember the day very well since it was the worst experience I had from my amazing vacation in Vancouver and also the worst customer service experience I have had at a restaurant, so it stands out.

The owner is being very dishonest in saying I was on speaker phone. I was on the phone using my headphone speaking to my family at home while I was waiting for my food. I was not asked to come off speaker phone, I was asked to not speak on my phone at all. In fact, I was told this in a very rude tone too.

Additionally, the restaurant was empty for most of my visit. I remember one couple entering the restaurant only a few minutes before the incident occurred.

Moreover, when I had first entered the empty restaurant I requested to sit at one of the tables. However, I was declined this request and told to sit at the bar since I was dining alone. A totally understandable response which I accepted without question, however, as mentioned the restaurant was empty when I had entered so a bit silly.

When I was told to end my call in a rude disrespectful tone, I did express that I was offended by the way they spoke to me and left the restaurant. There is always a nice way to ask something of your customer. I left before they served me, so I cannot speak to the...

I recently visited this restaurant and was immediately put off by the lack of hospitality. When I arrived, I greeted the chef, who was cooking right in the middle of the dining area, and asked where I could sit. Unfortunately, he didn’t acknowledge my greeting and simply told me to find a spot myself.

I ordered a dynamite roll and was then informed that I needed to order more than $10 worth of food to dine inside, otherwise, I would have to take my food to go. This policy was not communicated clearly, and it was actually another guest who had to explain it to me, as the chef had difficulty speaking English. Although there were plenty of free tables, I reluctantly agreed to take my order to go, even though, with tax, my order totaled more than $10.

When I received my food, the container was very small and so cheaply made that they had to use a rubber band to keep it closed. To make matters worse, the sushi was dry, and the portion consisted of only five small pieces. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and the quality of the food did not...

My friend and I went in Mobu Sushi for lunch. Only one of us ate because he was hungry but due to medical reasons I am only able to eat through a feeding tube. I decided to sit and eat with him when we went inside we sat down and he ordered for food and I didn’t. The lady look at me wish a judgemental stare, and when she came back from the back of the store I politely asked for a cup of water and was greeted with a very rude stare and hand motion! When she went back to get the water, I mentioned it to my friend who was eating, but the lady was eavesdropping on our conversation. She rudely and in an angry tone raised her voice at the both of us complaining how I had not ordered anything but still wanted water. She proceeded yapping about how this is a restaurant and not a cafeteria. To me and my friend we felt this was pretty obvious but she continued to keep pestering us. After this incident she had ruined our mood and my friends appetite and he paid for his food and we left. We will not be coming back and I recommend to...
