I have never provided a negative review regarding a retail outlet before. I felt compelled to because of the shockingly negative experience I had at Bling recently. I had shopped there before, and bought items, with no issues but with different clerks.
I walked into the store and was met by the owner/clerk? who advised me of the great sales that were on and to keep Xmas gifts in mind. I was not intending on buying but thanked him and started browsing. I enjoyed the browsing and as I was leaving I told the owner/clerk that I wasn't going to buy today, but had really enjoyed the browse and thanked him. He immediately turned aggressive and chided me saying I was going to miss out on the sales. I told him that I didn't shop I like I used to before. I was not about to share my conscious buying ethics with him. He continued his aggressive tactics and stated, "What, you don't give Xmas presents?" to which I replied "No". He then stated, "What, you sit around and twiddle your thumbs on Xmas day?" I had had enough of his bullying and stated, "Now you're just being mean. You don't know anything about me. Ask before you assume" and I left the store. He had no idea about my Xmas (or lack thereof) practices and was attempting to shame me into shopping. He needs some lessons in humanity. Read moreBoyfriend and I decided to stroll down 124th street and browse shops to see if we would find something interesting/cool enough to buy. We came across this store and was greeted with a beautiful arrangement of eye catching, unique, and modern home decor - a store that is completely up our alley. As soon as we stepped inside a owner/worker approached us, looked us up and down as if he were judging us and arrogantly greeted us by going on about how successful the business is and has been opened for 11 years. He then went off about how we shouldn't be there if we were just browsing and should "find our purpose" or leave the store. This left a sour taste in our mouths and we ended up leaving immediately without making more than 10 steps inside. I'm sorry, isn't browsing a store a purpose in itself? Maybe we would have found something interesting to purchase if it weren't for the unwelcoming interaction we had with this owner/employee. I do not...
Read moreUnfortunately, I had a very negative experience with the male employee/owner of this shop on December 27, 2023. I went in with a friend who made multiple purchases and while my friend was paying, I sat down on a chair near the till.
I had seen a female employee sitting in the same chair only moments before, and assumed it would be ok. The male employee stated in a very snarky tone, “In case you haven’t noticed, we put pillows on the chairs so customers don’t sit on them unless they want to buy them.”
