Uneven thresholds at grade. Doors to lobby do not have auto open/closer functions, are heavy and unwieldy.
Doorway thresholds to main floor commercial spaces do not meet basic building code and from speaking with tenants, the building management company refuses to address it after multiple near-miss incidents. Age of building shouldn't be an excuse in this case.
Very disappointing and completely unacceptable when there are inexpensive options to improve access for everyone. Whether it's a concrete or rubber splay added to the sidewalk, or even the addition of a boardwalk. Adding pneumatic assist door openers/closers to help with the weight, they're a less expensive option than balancing the doors which will only get damaged by wind and shifting buildings.
