Floc Boutique — Local services in Edmonton

A scam shop more than a clothing boutique ——————————————————————— I’ve browsed Floc a number of times as I live nearby. I popped in last week to look at denim just before my nail appointment in the building. I was greeted warmly and offered help in selecting a number of jeans to try on. The sales associate was very involved in my trying on process and I repeatedly expressed that I was torn between two pairs. In the end, given that I was almost running late for my appointment I told her that I’d purchase both to try on again at home and then decide which pair I preferred. She said that made sense as shoes make a big difference in styling. She rung me up without any mention of their return policy and I left the store. Today, I came into the store to return one of the two pairs of jeans. The SAME associate greeted me and literally said “I remember you were unsure about keeping both.” She then proceeds to tell me that I will not be refunded per their policy. I expressed shock and explained that this was never mentioned to me. She became very defensive and would not engage in any effort to resolve her obvious misstep in not communicating their return policy at the time of purchase. This is especially frustrating given that she was fully aware that I was not planning to keep both pairs of jeans. I feel completely manipulated and honestly scammed. It seems somewhat intentional that she left out that key piece of information when pushing me to purchase and now I’m stuck with a $365 gift card for a boutique with very limited stock. If they had owned up to their mistake and rectified the situation, I likely would have become a regular customer, but instead I’ll be ensuring that everyone knows to avoid Floc,...

One of my favorite boutiques in Edmonton. I’m only in town every so often but between Floc Boutique and Finery by Floc the staff is outstanding. I ALWAYS receive the best customer service and am greeted as if I’m a local. Miss Brenda hadn’t seen me in a year and helped me once at the Finery when I came into Floc she greeted me with a “Hello Reyna, good to see you again!” As an international traveler and a lover of retail it’s extra special - when you are greeted with such great consistent, customer service by more than one staff member, you have to know it’s a reflection of culture and ownership. To top it all off, I ALWAYS find something that feels as if it was sourced just for me. I highly recommend shopping at the Floc Boutique, Finery by Floc and Fellow by Floc...

Thank you Floc Boutique for the fantastic private shopping party last night. My only regret is that I didn’t take pictures of such a wonder event. I could’ve posted here for the world to see. My self and my friends all left with everything we had hoped for and more. To be treated with wine, cheese and out standing serves. I left there feeling like a celebrity. Now for review on the merchandise, for some the prices may be a bit higher then there budget or so you think. They have many items that will fall into most any budget.
