New restaurant in West Glendora worth visiting! Perfect for date night, girls night, a celebration or corporate party. Compliments to the architect for the design of this stunning space. I’m sure many will appreciate the TV’s in mirror wall enabling you to also watch the hockey game here. Came here for dinner with a group of girls on a Saturday Night of an Oilers home game. Loved the ambiance, service was 10/10 … the entire team worked very well together, were friendly and welcoming. Service was fast. Our server made great recommendations on menu items and was helpful. We shared the following family style: the Tuna Tostones, Carne Asada tacos, Ancho Hot Chicken, and Chorizo Borracho. The portions and plating format is perfect for sharing. The Ancho Lime Mojito deserves a Michelin Star will certainly return for the cocktails. EDIT 05/25/22: returned a second time, on a random Wednesday late night around 9pm for dinner and cocktails with a friend. We were greeted at the door by another friendly hostess who was quick to offer us a sampling of their feature rosé wine before swiftly taking us to our table. Once again the place was quite busy for this time of night, mid week. I opted to try a Mezcal Margarita … wow! Between the two cocktails I must say the Ancho Lime Mojito still takes the top spot, but the Mezcal Marg is a close second. I do have to comment that the cocktails are artisan and quite strong, but mixed in such a way you can’t taste the strength but can hit you rather quickly afterward so I wouldn’t recommend having more then 2 cocktails or just don’t drive. The only minor recommendation I have for the restaurant is cloth/linen napkin cutlery rolls vs paper napkins. Maybe it’s just me but eating tacos can get quite messy and a lap napkin is the sure way to not drip salsa on yourself. Thank you for a continued great experience to all the staff at El Corazon.

El Corazón Yeg.. where do I start, I will be honest I have mix feelings about this restaurant. Being a Latino person and visiting a Latin restaurant can be good or bad thing. Meaning, I know what flavours I am looking for and how traditionally they are. Having said that this is a modern spin to Latin food. This allows them to get away with divinations on taste and food traditions. I will be honest the food was ok, I did appreciate their creativity and work they put into it. But if you are looking for traditional tacos, chicharron, paella and guacamole. I feel there are better options in Edmonton. I actually was disappointed with my guacamole and the meals have more of a western take into them. Nevertheless, the place is located in a great location, very clean and looks great. The service was ok, the person that attended to us must of been really busy, had to get my own menus and remind them I was there. I like to give the benefit of the doubt and just say it was maybe an off day. The plátanos were good, the steak I had was ok and the feed back on the burger was great. I will try this place again in the future and give it another try. I think everyone needs to try this place, don’t let me stop you, as this is my opinion and you should have yours. Like I said, I can respect the creativity they have put into it and this might be what you want if your looking for a fusion of Latino cuisine. Have fun and keep on eating. #chicosreviews

My husband and I took my mother-in-law here for her birthday. We were definitely impressed with the menu options; there are tons of creative dishes and cocktails to choose from. We ordered the mojito guacamole to start, as well as some yucca fries. The guacamole was good, it didn’t really taste any different than regular guacamole. And the fries were served hot- they were good but the dip they were served with was just mayo mixed with ketchup. Then my mother-in-law ordered the ceviche as her main, and it was even recommended to us by the server. But it was not that great, we would probably rate it a 6/10. (Keep in mind that my husband and mother-in-law are South American so maybe we are just used to actual ceviche etc.) My husband ordered the Pollo Asado, but it just tasted like charcoal. Mine was probably the best; I ordered the Basa fish. However the dish is a whole fish that is served with a pico de gallo, and there’s no other sides with it. I think the dish would be better if the fish filet was smaller and served with rice as well or something. But the fish was very tasty, as was the pico de gallo. Overall, however, the best part of our meal was the drinks. And our server was fantastic too; no complaints about the service. I just think that the price of the dinner we had was maybe a little high for the food being average.

Sad to have to share our terrible experience at this restaurant. Made a reservation for 8pm, we came at 7pm since the bar was mentioned as an option, when we arrived we were told it was full, so we decided to go for drinks at a near by restaurant, came back to El Corazon at 7:45 for our reservation and thought maybe we have luck and can start at the bar for drinks, again we were told by the hostess it was full, so we decided to wait until our table would be ready at 8pm. Then another hostess came and told us it would be a few minutes for our table to ready and that we could come in and sit at the bench, we said no thanks, but decided to still wait by the door since we were waiting for my Dad to meet us, 2 minutes later the same hostess comes to us and starts telling us that she will have to forfeit our reservation because we were being disrespectful to her staff and that she needs to ask us to leave. She will not be servicing us as she would not guarantee we would be respectful to her staff. Very rudely, she wouldn't even allow us to speak, told us how we shouldn't be shocked as to why she is asking us to leave because of our behavior, I kept on asking what did we do? I was only asking if we could go to the bar? She said we were constantly trying to come in even though she was the on the phone and said there was no availability for 7pm, but what did we do we kept on asking she puts her hand in her chest and says now your are disrespecting me and now I need you to leave. This was the most humiliating experience ever, no one am sure, gets dressed up, makes reservation to a so called a nice restaurant to spend money and also disrupt a place. We are also Latinos, so we wanted to experience the food, ambiance and high expectation of a fun welcoming staff and environment, which clearly was not, starting with bar manager as she proudly yelled her name to us when asked, as if what she had done was her highlight of the night. I really hope your staff which represent this multi-cultural place, are not racist, and treat your customer with the outmost respect EVERYBODY deserves no matter where they’re from. You have to have cameras and I urge management, and by management I mean anyone above the bar manager to review this. Very rude, very hostile unprofessional not to mention your hosts, need to learn to read people better, and be careful what your accuse your customers of. This is very unfortunate, your Latin theme restaurant unfairly turned Latino customers down for absolutely no reason at all. Definitely not a place to go to, considering the reviews you have, is not just the staff but apparently the food too. So a place to drop a few hundred dollars, absolutely not worth it! We are appalled and disgusted but most of offended by the bar manager and hostess who accused us of disrespecting her when in turn in the end it was them disrespecting us and ruining our night.

I never leave negative reviews, as a business owner I understand that it's more appreciated to receive personally. But with not even having the chance to talk this is the way I have to share my terrible experience.

Anyone planning to come to this place, don’t ask anything you may be the next one being...

Was excited to try out this new place for dinner on a Sunday night. We came with friends and we were all impressed by the decor and vibe. We were pleasantly surprised by the diversity of the wine menu. Our cocktails arrived promptly and all were delicious and instagram-worthy.

My husband and I ordered the eggplant dip served with pita triangles as an appetizer and it was quite tasty but was slow to arrive - so much so that the manager was kind enough to take them off our bill.

Our mains weren't great. The Cubano Tradicional (pork sandwich) had hard dry buns and luke-warm yuca fries while the Spanish blackened basa was extremely salty and probably could have used one extra minute cooking. The basa I received was actually the second one cooked for me as the manager explained she had sent the original plate back to the kitchen. Our friends mains were better. They had a nice looking couple of fish tacos and the El Bisteca; however, the steak was requested medium rare and arrived well-done and was sent back to return to the table well-done. The flavour was apparently good, though and they ate the second steak.

We decided to give them a full try and went for dessert as well. Unfortunately, the chocolate mousse was so-so.

The customer service was good from the manager. We didn't make a peep of complaint (apart from the steak) but the manager took off the appetizers and my basa dinner and gave each couple 20% off the remainder of our bills. More than our non-complaining group would ever expect.

I think this restaurant has potential if they can fine tune what's happening in...
