Mercante is a great place to visit, and I urge you to, especially for their pizzas. However, as great as it tastes, it is clear that over the two years I have been going there, the amount of arugula they have been adding has decreased drastically. Maybe it is just shrinkflation, or maybe nobody likes arugula, but regardless, that is disappointing nonetheless. Stick to the pizzas with pesto or tomato sauce, they are absolutely amazing, the ones without are quite bland. The crust is some of the best you’ll ever taste, or maybe all my years of never trying pizza this fresh ruined my tastebuds. If I were to recommend a particular pizza, it’d definitely be the pesto pollo! It’s simple, pesto with chicken and mushrooms but it is a joy to eat. The pizza is quite fast, cooked in around 10 minutes, and there are plenty of seating as well. I tried the pasta once when it first came out… and it was basically just reheated in a shoddy take-out container. Incredibly disappointing compared to the pizzas. The mini caprese salad has the best sauce I’ve ever eaten, so even if the price is a bit steep, worth it imo. Anyways, please visit! And enjoy some of the pizza pictures I’ve taken over the years.

If you look at the menu someone else posted here, you can see that they have increased the price per pizza by $4 over 8 months. I paid $17 for this pizza bianca and I’m not even full. My friend did recommend the prosciutto tho. Just want to point out that you can get so much more pizza at faith and pizza garden for the same price Edit: went back to try the prosciutto, it’s a good, honest pizza on its own. It’s just that you can get more at other places for the same price

Awesome tasting pizza. The dough is so fresh and the texture and thickness is perfect! The Margherita Salami Piccante special was so light yet tangy from the tomato sauce and tasted just right with balanced flavours. Pesto Pollo was also tasty. Made fresh in the fire oven. Can't wait to come back and eat it again. They also have large wooden tables, couches, and study rooms so you can work, eat, and relax. Great place on campus for food, work, or just to chill.

I ordered the vegetarian Flatbread, which was described as involving "vegetables," tomatoes and cheese. This meant a huge pile of arugula. Everything was cold, so much that the cheese wasn't even melted, and the person making the sandwich didn't feel the need to actually slice the tomato, so there was a huge chunk, about 1/3 of a tomato in the middle of the sandwich. Twelve dollars for this. Don't bother
