I have had the worst experience of any service ever provided to me in my lifetime. I have been a customer for my entire life and i would NEVER EVER recommend this service to anyone. I take several medications that must be taken each day. I have waited on the phone to speak to the pharmacy for up to 2 days and nobody answered. That is, at the end of the working day, the phone was disconnected on me and then i called back the next day and again waited but nobody answered and the pharmacy was not closed on these days.
I often wait on the phone for at least 1 hr to speak with someone but two days is absolutely ridiculous especially when i haven't taken my prescription for three days because i am unable to get it refilled because i can't get a hold of anyone in the pharmacyl.
But it gets even better. I have had my name and number taken five times for the manager to call me back to ask him how i can resolve this issue and he has NEVER called me back and i have been a customer for 50 years.
It gets even better. I decided to use the automated online service to resolve this issue and it doesn't even work so although i have signed up to have my prescriptions automatically refilled it doesn't work. I asked a pharmacy employee what i am suppose to do to receive my medication on time and they could not give me an answer on how i could achieve this. He said it is very busy so that is why the phone isn't answered and also that the automated service has many problems and doesn't work. So to resolve the issue i asked if i could have my file switched to another pharmacy which be actually recommended i do. So an actual employee at the Shoppers on Prospect recommended I use another pharmacy.
I have now switched pharmacies. When i switched to the other pharmacy the employee said that they too have to wait to request transfers from this Shoppers for an unprecedented amount of time. The Shoppers on Prospect is a joke amongst other pharmacies for being so AWFUL. I cannot recommend loud enough to NEVER go to this pharmacy. It my understanding that the main pharmacist Brian owns this franchise location and does not appear to care about our business. The problems stem from the top and are echoed by some of his staff. Overcharges and extra dispensing fees are common place making it difficult to pick up 3 months worth at time of a given medication but will dispense them, charging you instead of putting it thru your insurer without informing you. They have a pharmacy policy where by they will not contact your insurer even to rectify their own errors i.e. Din numbers that get changed ( new suppliers or change in din #s ) nullifying exemptions you've already worked out with the insurer. They will charge you arbitrarily for free needles that should come with injectable medications and won't even try to put it thru insurance nor give you or know whether you'll get optimum points for the purchase. We have been loyal shopper's drugmart clients for 30yrs in the various provinces we've resided in. We have never been treated so poorly over such a long period of time with no attempt to "make it right". They refuse to acknowledge their errors or apologize for the many inconveniences. Today I was shorted 49 of 60 pills with no indication of there being a shortage or that they owed me any. I was also outright lied to about the pharmacist having spoken to my partner about being charged this time for the needles needed to inject the prescribed injectable.This is the only pharmacy who has ever charged my family members for needles that go with a prescription. To top it off I got my records for tax purposes and they were for 2014 not 2015 ugh....I highly recommend going elsewhere for your pharmacy needs. We will be! Read moreI understand that times are difficult at the moment, but after poor service consistently, I can no longer let it slide. First, when you enter, you enter to prestige cosmetics. The employees there do not greet you. Instead, the 3 or 4 employees that are there chatting will look at you as if you interrupted them, then continue their conversation. I buy a lot of prestige makeup and skincare, but NEVER from this location. I would rather Google my questions than have to inconvenience one of these employees. The next issue is the pharmacy. I take many prescription medications, and the pharmacy often does not have my prescriptions ready despite being notified that they are ready. I live 40+ minutes outside of town. It is unacceptable to expect me to return at a later time when I've been told my prescriptions are ready. Any time I need to order a prescription over the phone, without a doubt, I am always on hold 15+ minutes. Today was the last straw with being on hold for over 30 minutes. On a good note, I have dealt with a wonderful pharmacist several times. I wish I knew her name because she is pretty much the only good quality about the pharmacy. She once hand wrote me a calendar to help aid in a confusing medication change and always answers my questions. The postal service is never fast. Expect a long wait no matter what time of year it is. I have never seen more than 1 employee working there, even during the holidays. As for the rest of the store, it is alright. Things are in stock and it is clean.
