Takes up less space than my old Microwave which enables more kitchen counter space that is very valuable in an apartment setting. Read moreI purchased a desktop tower, Monitor, Keyboard, speakers online? and when I went to the store I added the 3 year warranty on the tower. The approximate total of the purchase was $ 1500.00 and the time of my purchase was 1:51 p.m.
When I got home I took the 27'' LG monitor out of the box and put it on my computer table and when I turned the power on the right side of the screen was broken. I then put the monitor original packaging which had been on my floor and immediately returned to the store.
I have 2 dogs and dog hair from my dogs transferred from the packaging onto the monitor after it was repackaged.
When I got to the the store and advised that the monitor was broken and needed it exchanged the employee (Andrew) began to take monitor out of the packaging he commented on the dog hair and stated:
"Are you sure your dog didn't run into the monitor". His tone and demeanor was very judgmental and insulting.
I was taken back from the comment but explained that no that is not what happened.
2 other employees arrived looking over the monitor for several minutes with a flashlight. The entire time I felt like I was being judged by the employees for attempting to return a defective product.
After the inspection the employees determined that it was concealed damage and they would have to send picture to head office and it would take 5 days for results.
I replied.to the employee "does that mean I can't use the brand new computer that I just bought because I don't have a monitor. The employee replied yes I'm sorry.
I could not believe that they would not exchange the monitor to a working one. I stated that I was just going to return the other items I had purchased since I no longer had use for them. The employee made no attempt to salvage the deal and simply replied "if that what you have to do".
I then received my invoice for monitor claim at 2:48 p.m. and advised I would be back the the other items.
I returned to the store with the items still sealed in their original boxes and Andrew stated " oh wow you didn't even get to take them out of the box" I replied " yes and here you were blaming my dog" I then told Andrew what his comment was unprofessional and insulting and he attempted to defend his remark claiming due to the hair on the monitor it was a justified statement. I then returned the items at 3:07 p.m.
I'm not saying that the employees at this store are not knowledgeable about computers. What I am saying is that if you have to return a defective product be prepared to be judged, insulted and will not have your purchases immediately exchanged.

Read moreThis is the worst store that this company has. I don't know what you did to the customer service and friendly staff you had at the former locations on Dundurn and Upper James. As stores were re-opening after the easing of restrictions on retail stores, I was looking at putting together a new system. I did some research on-line and came up with an list of parts that I required from the MOBO up. I e-mailed the store and asked them for their expert opinion on the parts I chose and would they recommend anything based on inventory etc. I never got a response. I repeated the e-mail and again, no response. I complained to their head office and told them that I wasn't hearing back from the store. They e-mailed me back and told me to contact the store for build issues. YUP!
Today as I was shopping online, I left your store as "my store" despite not feeling good about the prior issues but I figured that I would leave it and hope to have a better experience. I chose a system, chose the 32 G of RAM, put them in the cart and processed the order to pick up at your store. After I completed the order I needed to know about the MOBO configuration for Maximum RAM. I called the store over and over. No answer. The message system still isn't set up yet so you cannot reach anyone or leave a message.
Clearly, I should have went with my first thoughts. I called the Burlington store and it was answered within a few rings. I spoke to a great guy who was pleased to take my call and talked me into spending a lot more on a better system that the one I had ordered from your store. He walked me through the system and what benefits I would get buy buying the more expensive system. I crunched the numbers and went with his recommendation. I immediately cancelled the order I had with your store, drove all the way to the store in Burlington, walked in and talked to Jessie, the rep on the phone. He seemed genuinely pleased to see me. He answered all my questions and took the time to go through the details again showing me the item on their in-store computer. We discussed the extra warranty and as sketchy as some of them are, he explained the logic in this plan and I walkedout with an amazing deal.
