It is a very young beautiful clean, well kept family park located on Upper Wentworth Street, Hamilton. It has plenty of beautiful grass and trees that are maturing quickly. There is an asphalt circular trail through the trees that can be used for mile long romantic evening walks with your family, but joggers, roller skaters ,skate boarding enthusiasts and bicycle riders also travel the trail. Many children enjoy buggy and wagon rides through the park as well. This park also offers baseball diamonds and soccer game facilities. There is a great selection of excellent park equipment located in its water splash pad area where all of the children scream with delight all summer long as they are sprayed by various play features that thrill them and help them to stay cool even in the hottest weather. There is plenty of benches and picnic tables for all to use for family picnics or just to rest as you walk around on your daily walk . The large gazebo offers shelter for all from the sun, rain and snow all year through. Pets are always welcome with trash cans readily available throughout the park for easy waste disposal. Neglected pet waste will get you a hefty fine. Pets must be on a leash. This park is sure to please families with lots of children and pets. Come and enjoy. There is a parking lot with free parking. I used to love this park and go for an occasional walk till they started fining anyone who smokes a cigarette there. There is a very hefty fine for smoking cigarettes...
Read moreFamily friendly park with swings, slides and playground structures, named after Thomas Baker McQuesten, a local politician who spearheaded many construction projects including development of public parks. Lovely circular walking path and the hill in the adjacent park affords a good view. While not officially recommended for toboganing, children do use it in the winter. Technically two parks are in this area, T. B. McQuesten facing Upper Wentworth and Rushdale at the back. In reality they appear physically as one continuous park separated only by the hill.
Most of the park is relatively enjoyable except the Splash Pad at Rushdale Park is extremely basic. The layout does not adequately meet needs of smaller and older to interact with the at their level. The features offers only provide limited variety of play experiences. All in all, I am glad to have this green space and enjoy it with family...
Read moreI jog around this park all the time. It's nice because it connects to a trail that follows the link. So you can get some decent mileage in. And it's fairly flat to do as I find running around the circle tedious. The circle itself is 660 meters with one hill and a grade at places. Lots and lots of parking. There is a small splash pad and playground. Large fields. Baseball diamond and basket ball hoops. Really nice place. Good pavilion for shade. Nothing bad about this place. Well lit at night to. And there are exercise suggestions at 6 or 7 spots around the path. It's so large that I've never seen it crowded. Public bathrooms. Not much graffiti and well maintained...
