Read moreNot at all what I would expect from Boston Pizza... save yourself the aggrevation and go to another restaurant in the area or another Boston Pizza (Yonge and Empress is 100% better). Hussein, the general manager, needs some customer service training. My husband and 3 girls (ages 11, 11, and 10) thought we'd pick up the kids from school and surprise them with a dinner out at Boston Pizza. We went to the Warden and Steeles location and were seated. Only 1 kids menu was at our table. I asked for 2 more. The greeter said that kids meals are only for children under 10. I said when did that change and I asked if they could make an exception. She said no- Hussein was at the reception area and told us that the policy has changed to 10. I said the girls won't eat from the adult menu so we have to go. He was matter-of-fact in his tone and kept going back to the policy set by headquarters. Obviously the kids were sad... It bothered me how he was so I looked online... there is no age listed for kids meals. I called Boston Pizza at Yonge and Empress and they said kids meals are for under 12. So we drove there ... 35min away... for our kids. I called Hussein back... the woman greeter who Hussein would not give me her name, said that she was the general manager when I called asking to speak to the general manager. I said ok, I was under the impression the male who was at the reception counter was the manager. I explained the situation and then she went and got Hussein. At this point they are both wasting my time. I told Hussein about the Boston Pizza policy and he said I was wrong. He then said I misunderstood him and that he was saying that the kids eat free Sept deal is for 10 and under .. which I knew. All this started because I wanted 2 extra paper kids meal menus and the unnamed woman greeter wouldn't give it to us saying my 11 year olds are too old. We said nothing about kids eat free.. this restaurant was empty, Hussein needs some training in dealing with people and the fact that I couldn't get the first name of the woman greeter says to me there is something off about this place and they are doing something not so right. I'm so happy I called the other Boston Pizza otherwise we would have never gone to another one again... my kids like kids meals... we like that they get kids meals... we have 1 more year left before they outgrow these meals. Shame on Hussein for almost ruining the joy the kids get from their Boston Pizza experience. Thankfully, the Yonge and Empress restaurant was what we would expect of Boston Pizza - friendly, fun, and caring! Hussein and his unnamed worker should be reprimanded for being so unwelcoming and unfriendly and unaware of the corporation's policies. Save yourself the hassle of being unsatisfied and skip this Warden and...
Read moreDuring our last visit on March 13th, we encountered several issues that I believe need addressing.
Firstly, there was a noticeable delay in the preparation and serving of our meals. Despite being a relatively quiet evening, our order took significantly longer than usual to arrive at our table. For a party of 4, when the food arrived, it was at least 10 mins apart for each one of us. This prolonged waiting time was not only inconvenient but also disrupted the overall dining experience.
Furthermore, when I placed an order specifying that I required no bacon in my food due to religious dietary restrictions as a Muslim. Unfortunately, when I received my order, it contained bacon, which is a violation of my religious beliefs. The lack of attention to detail was disappointing and affected our enjoyment of the meal. When I addressed this concern to our server, all we were told that “oh I’m sorry, I will notify the kitchen “. And nothing was done about it, I still had bacon in my plate. As you can imagine that I had already lost my appetite.
I understand that challenges can arise in any restaurant setting, but as a loyal customer, I believe it is important to provide feedback when issues arise. I trust that you will take this feedback seriously and take the necessary steps to improve the kitchen service.
Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns. I look forward to hearing from you soon and to continuing to enjoy the excellent dining experience that your restaurant is known...
