Third review March 4, 2022: Yet another package got hold here coz they "claimed" my pick up location is no longer available. I don't know what happen there coz the location is on the list when I request for hold and it's been my pickup point for months. Please FedEx, be mercy, and consider the skyrocketing gas price now. If customers or the pickup point is not available to receive, can you at least drop the package at a location nearest to the home address or original pickup point? It's the 4th time I have to drive 25 mins to pick up my package that were supposed to hold at a location 5 mins from my home. 50 mins drive in total, plus at least 30 mins of lining up (in hot sun/freezing winter) coz this facility is ALWAYS busy. Eventually, I decided to call for rescheduling my delivery. The phone menu is also as ridiculous. You never know what the exact phrase to say for your request. Change Hold Location? Re-attempt Delivery? Confirm Address? Change Address? It took me 10 mins to hit the jack pot "Change Delivery"!! Phew~ Then I was finally able to talk to a representative and ask for the package to deliver to my home, if not, at least a location closer to my home. Now I have to see if I'll be luck enough to be home receiving it. I work long hours, and there's no concierge at our building. That's why I always have my package hold at a location. It was good for a year or so, no issue whatsoever. I don't know what happen lately really.
Dec 16 2021: The next day I went back at 8:50 am with my winter coat. There's already 6 people in line. It was windy. I checked the weather on my phone, it was 40km. After 15 mins or so, I was next one to go in. The wind was too strong making my head hurt, triggering my migraine, so I sneaked in the space between front door and the door to the office, hoping to take a break from the wind. The young male staff immediately came over asking me to step back out. I understand, and actually very much appreciate his efforts of sticking to regulation and keeping the place safe. He's also very polite and calm. I give him credit for that. But 20 mins of fighting 40km gusty wind was enough to make me losing my mind and breaking some rules.
Second review: Dec 15 2021 11:45am, 6 people ahead of me, again waited too long. It was super windy and wet. Lining up outside was a real torture. I had to give up and leave. Will bring my best winter jacket and try again tomorrow. BTW, I had already set up a Delivery Manager account and had all my future packages forwarded to my choice of pickup location that's only 2 mins away from my home. Somehow this random package ended up holding at this location 25 mins away. What fresh hell is this?!

Read moreI own a small marketing company. I depend on third party shippers like FedEx for my business. My small business clients depend on me and my ability to deliver on time for events and functions.
Last week Wednesday I placed a rush overnight by noon shipment from Oakville to Markham.
At 230pm my client called in a panic for their print materials that were only valid for the weekend event.
Upon checking the tracking it appeared our shipment was delayed until the following Monday.
After 1.5 hours of explaining that the $1000 of marketing materials were for a weekend function and worthless after I asked to escalate it to a manager who found out where the items were and had them pulled.
However, Fedex was NOT going to rush it to the event and take zero accountability for the mistake.
My ciient, at the promise of the Fedex manager agreed to have the items shipped the next day by 11am. This was confirmed when the manager called and assured me the absolute latest it would be delivered was noon the next day.
130pm the next day still no package. A call in was made and we were told it is on the way and will be there soon.
We called back again at 430pm and the response was that a delivery attempt was made but noone was there to receive it.
Fedex had my direct number, my clients direct number and an escalation ticket that it was to be delivered before noon.
It is now Thursday the following week. They have NOT returned our package. They have not refunded our shipping cost and they have shown zero regard for the customers who support their business that ensure their employees get paid.
The attitude and treatment is deplorable and unacceptable.
Fedex and other carriers have a duty and should be held to a service level but too few do anything about it.
Covid has hurt our business for the last 2 years. But we do not hide behind it as a get out of jail free card when dealing with real businesses being run by real people.
Without our businesses the economy would hurt worse than it already is.

I recently had a rather frustrating experience with FedEx regarding the delivery of my package. Despite clear instructions provided during the second delivery attempt, the FedEx driver failed to follow the specified guidelines, leading to unnecessary inconvenience.
During the first attempt, the package was not successfully delivered, prompting me to contact the FedEx call center for assistance. I specifically requested that, during the second delivery attempt, the package should be placed inside the parcel locker for secure and easy retrieval.
To my disappointment, the FedEx driver did not adhere to these instructions during the second delivery attempt. The package was not placed inside the designated parcel locker, as requested. This lack of compliance with the provided instructions has resulted in a considerable inconvenience for me, as I now have to rearrange my schedule to ensure I can retrieve the package in person. Additionally, I was assured by the call center representative that I would receive a call at the time of delivery on 3rd attempt to arrange for a person-to-person pickup.
I find it disheartening that despite the assurance from the call center, there was a failure to communicate with the delivery personnel effectively. and now I received call from Fedex to notify me that driver will not call and delivery postponed to one more day. Such discrepancies in service erode the trust and reliability that customers expect from a reputable courier service like FedEx. I asked to deliver to closed drop off location. Lady on call enter this information but mentioned at the end that there is no guarantee of delivery.
I hope i will see this package delivery at my place otherwise i must pick up from Markham location which is 30min away from my place even though i paid $$$ for shipment!
