Kings Square is honestly one of the most disappointing malls in the GTA. It officially opened in 2020 after being completed in 2019, and it has felt like a ghost town ever since. I am not sure whose idea this project was, but it clearly turned out to be a bad investment.

The mall tried to compete with Pacific Mall, but that never happened. It is now under receivership with more than $52 million CAD in debt, and the emptiness really shows. There are countless vacant spaces and closed stores everywhere. The food court has very few options and is almost always empty. Walking through the mall feels strange because it is so quiet and there are barely any customers.

The only anchor tenants that seem to keep the place alive are the sports centre and the walk-in clinic, which are actually pretty good. The supermarket is also decent and convenient if you are nearby. But aside from that, most of the remaining stores are low-traffic and do not seem to be doing well. I honestly do not know how they are still operating. It almost feels suspicious, like there could be money laundering involved, because it does not make sense how they survive with so few visitors.

I feel bad for the people who tried to open stores here and lost their money. It is not their fault that the mall was poorly planned and managed. There are much better shopping centres and plazas nearby that actually have life and customers. The only positive thing I can say is that the washrooms are clean and well maintained, which is nice to see.

Overall, Kings Square had potential, but it has completely failed to live up to it. It feels abandoned, quiet,...

We always drive by King's Square and always wondered is it opened yet. Didn't see any opening ceremonies or every time when we look at the parking lot it was empty. So this past weekend there was a Macau festival so we decided to go and look and see if the mall is opened or not.

The Macau festival took up the whole parking lot and there were lots of vendors and entertainment outside. When we walked in the mall it was pretty much empty. There are 3 floors, the 2nd and 3rd floor can only be available using an elevator. Within the store, there's probably 5 stores or so. We do see a supermarketing under construction. The food court wasn't ready, there are probably 12 different food stall stores however compared to the seating area, it will be problematic as the seating area is quite small.

Hopefully, this mall can get going fairly soon, it is a great location. Hopefully despite the slow start up this will become...

This King Square Shopping Centre has opened for 3 to 4 years. It's a rather newly opened Asian Mall , bright and clean, has large outdoor and underground parking lots. It's a pity to see so many empty units, I think it only has 40% of occupancy . I think only the big Chinese supermarket can make some business. We all understand the pandemic has really killed all business, hope business can be picked up gradually . The food court is so empty during lunch hour, I think only 4 to 5 food stores are in business. It's sad to see such an atmosphere ! To the Google Map Administration : I wanted to say something about the King Square Shopping Centre, but the title here kept on saying that this is the " Shield Shutters" . I can see other comments are talking about the shopping centre , but the introduction by the business just talk about the shutters......there must be something that have...
