Mr Pancake — Restaurant in Markham

2022 July 3.5★ Located inside the King's Square food court, you'll find this Chinese style pancake restaurant among only 3 or 4 others. There's not that many selections in the mall that's operating. This one has two locations, generally pretty good. As the name specifies, it's Mr. Pancake, so ordering anything else might not be as good.

Beijing Beef Pancake $11.99 Eggs, cucumbers, beef and some sauce, this was Pretty good flavors overall. Like how the pancake is cut in two and packaging is in two. Also like how the packaging tears off to make it easier to eat.

Rouga Mo $5.99 This read so-so... The meat isn't saucy or that flavorful.

I really enjoyed the Chinese Pancake jian bing! Reminded me of my time travelling across China, eating cheap eats on the street.

We chose their popular beef option, and it was delightful! Apparently the owner also recommends the chicken option. Inside the jian bing, there was that cracker, sliced cucumber as well :-)

Once you order, they give you a beeper so you can checkout other vendors for some good food.

They were also kind enough to ask me if I wanted less spicy because I was pregnant, so...

Very disappointed with the pancake. It barely had any meat inside, I almost thought they forgot to add it. Imagine the taste of savory pancake batter, mayo, iceberg lettuce combined and nothing more. Pics online show other veggies in their pancake, not this one.

Also, though the Chinese burger (Rouga Mo) was well seasoned, it was very dry. We needed to wait 25 minutes for the food even though the food court was not crowded on a weekday. At least they give you a buzzer so you don't have to...
