Arrived here to renew my health and photo i.d. card which were expired I went in the line and wasn't greeted but stared rudely by a female employee wearing a hijab. I requested the service I needed she took my cards I asked for proof of residence I gave her my passport and mentioned I didn't have a drivers license. She then asked her colleague what should she proceed to do they asked if it's a renewal she replied yes and then she told her it's her call and do what you feel comfortable to do as long as she's willing to pay for the renewal of the photo card then you can do both at the same time. To diffuse the situation that employee could have just taken over and helped us but no so she ignored the instructions she was given and ignorantly instead asked personal questions as to why I took so long to get it done, if I was working I said I am here now to do it I don't understand what is the problem?, and why I didn't have a driver's license . I didn't appreciate being interrogated and treated with disrespect I was informed by her that I would have to come back again when I get the photo i.d. in the mail in order to renew the health card which is not what she was told and when questioned as to why that was the process she replied that's stupid you are requesting to know how we do things and they are they are not following their own protocols when it's the same address on both cards and wanted me to come back when I got the i.d. in the mail. How I am supposed to get health services if I don't have my cards? and she said no as if she had the authority to grant me a card and 'm a Canadian Resident having been all my life. It's not till my mother came up and challenged her knowledge of how the process works did she deny us service and said if you continue this way I won't do it when I then asked for her name her colleague chimed in we cannot disclose that information. She was incredibly ignorant and has zero people skills and should not be working in a government job if she has no idea what she is doing consulting her college's for guidance and providing wrong information to customers. I have never been treated so poorly and her suspicious demeanor was uncalled for at this point we left she seemed racist or hoping to get a rise out of us so we went home next day came back with more documents to prove address credit report when in fact my health card and passport was good enough apparently not to her that day. Next day waited in line again faced her she immediately asked my mom who stood quietly on the side if she was still angry" totally uncalled for when I am the one she is dealing with clearly she was looking for an argument or for her to apologize when we did nothing wrong she simply is selective on who she believes should be treated with decency. My mom ignored her comment and went to sit down she then proceeded to take my documents asked again if I wanted to renew my health yes I replied as she had me sign the papers she continued to want to gossip about what happened claiming she did nothing wrong and was not being mean to now your mom doesn't even acknowledge me and when I replied she was just trying to protect me as we didn't care for the tone you were using with us I don't wish to discuss this any further it's water under the bridge let's move on she still wanted to talk about it. It was very condescending and uncomfortable I took my pictures she even looked over at her colleague and laughed about us returning again as if she taught us a lesson. This type of attitude is unacceptable lady clearly needs to humble herself going on a power trip horrendous customer...
Read moreMy first and last time at this useless location. Figured I'd give it a try as I was closer than my usual Hurontario location. As it was my first time taking "joint ownership" of a trailer purchase, I called the main Service Ontario line to make sure I had all the paperwork in order and ready ahead of time. I was told to write a simple "authorization on behalf" handwritten note as the co-owner wasn't available to go with me to do the purchase transfer.
I show up there and there were only 8 people ahead of me. Still took over an hour and finally I get this older beefy white lady telling me the authorization form wasn't good enough, and gave me this official form PLUS two others that needed to be filled out. Needless to say, I was unable to complete the transfer of ownership and left.
On my way home I called back the main Service Ontario number (obviously speaking to a different person) to complain to them that I wasted my time as they never told me the additional forms I needed filled out. They again confirmed what the first call I made said - that the handwritten letter I had was sufficient, and they were baffled why this lady added all this extra effort and forms for a simple used trailer purchase.
So instead of going home, I went to my usual Hurontario location I've been going to for over 14 years with the EXACT same paperwork I had, and after waiting only 20 mins in line, within 10 minutes at the kiosk, everything was done and I got my trailer plates and joint ownership.
Goes to show you how some public servant employees are just plain useless, ignorant, lazy and dumb. Never going back to this...
Read moreI came to get my health card renewed and the service person I was working with was extremely condescending.
I booked an appointment for 9:55 and the signages said to ask the dealers desk if you had an appointment…the signs on the desk also said the first few booths at the dealer’s desks were not in use so there was no clear indication as to where to go so I lined up (the line up wasn’t bad)
The wait wasn’t long but the second I got called by the service person ( a man with glasses, probably in his 40s-50s, grey and black hair, east asian) , I let him know that the entrance is confusing as there was no indication on where to go. Even the people around me that had appointments weren’t sure whether they had to wait in line or sit since there was no one to ask. I also asked questions and apologized for not knowing after he called but he kept reiterating to me on where to go and what to do which was very belittling as I was just asking questions for clarification for next time (which I won’t be coming to this location). He also complained about me to his green haired girl coworker next to him and she basically told me to my face something about the difference between a statement and a question which made no sense? I assume he told her that I was being rude and she tried to tell me off or something. Not surprised since theres a couple reviews on this girl.
I politely thanked him for his service but clearly, had a...
