Disappointing Taste Experience at Snowies Bingsu Snowies Bingsu, located in Mississauga, promises a tantalizing array of Korean desserts, hot teas, cold drinks, and snacks. With a craving for something sweet and a curiosity to delve into Korean delicacies, I ventured into this quaint ice cream parlor, only to be met with a taste experience that fell far short of expectations. Upon entering Snowies Bingsu, the ambiance greeted me with a saccharine charm. The girly interior, dominated by hues of pink, added to the anticipation of indulging in delightful treats. However, the decor alone couldn't rescue the disappointing experience that followed. Opting for their signature bingsu, I ordered the Original Injeolmi Bingsu and the Chocolate Brownie Bingsu. The Original Injeolmi Bingsu, adorned with injeolmi, sweet red beans, almond flakes, and a mysterious scoop of ice cream (likely milk-based), failed to deliver on its promise of flavor. The shaved ice lacked depth, leaving the toppings to fend for themselves against a backdrop of blandness. The Chocolate Brownie Bingsu, while sounding promising on the menu, turned out to be a colossal letdown. Coated with cocoa powder and adorned with brownie chunks, it was a tasteless affair. The lack of flavor permeated every spoonful, leaving me longing for something more satisfying. The only saving grace was the brownie, offering a fleeting moment of respite from the underwhelming ensemble. Disheartened by the lackluster experience, I couldn't help but wonder if the flavors had been overlooked in the preparation process. It seemed evident that the execution fell short of the mark, leaving the once-excited anticipation of trying Korean desserts soured by disappointment. The pricing of the bingsu, ranging from $13 to $19, felt exorbitant given the lack of flavor and substance in the offerings. For $13, one would expect a taste sensation that transcends the ordinary, yet what was delivered fell far below this standard. In an effort to salvage the experience, I requested condensed milk to add some semblance of flavor to the bingsu. While it marginally improved the taste, it was a band-aid solution to a deeper problem of flavor deficiency. Snowies Bingsu's staffing arrangements further compounded the dissatisfaction. With only one person attending to the entire establishment, patrons were left waiting and resorting to ringing a bell for assistance. This lack of attentiveness only served to underscore the shortcomings of the overall experience. In conclusion, my visit to Snowies Bingsu left me with a sense of disillusionment and a vow to steer clear in the future. The lack of flavor, coupled with inflated pricing and inadequate service, makes it difficult to justify a return visit or recommend the establishment to others. Regrettably, Snowies Bingsu receives a solitary star from me, reflecting the disappointment that overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable introduction to Korean desserts. Until significant improvements are made in the realm of flavor and service, it's a venture I would advise others to approach with caution, if at all.

By far one of the best dessert places to go. I’m not really a sweets person but when it comes to Bingsu at Snowies, it is absolutely phenomenal. They recently opened but when you go inside, it has such a cute and bubbly atmosphere to it just like their two owners, Lisa and Michelle. The two are just as sweet as their Bingsu. They always have a smile on their face, very welcoming and friendly. Every once in a while I like to come to snowies to have a snack and study, also because I like their music taste as well heh. Snowies has a VARIETY of flavours, they have strawberry, mango, mixed fruit, Oreo, and even better... they come up with their own original flavours as well, such as Thai ice tea, viet coffee (my fave!) and Hong Kong milk tea. If you had any of these drinks before, and you try out the desserts here, it tastes so alike, it’s unbelievable. Majority of their toppings are made in house and sometimes placed on the side so you can portion it however you’d like. If it’s not placed on the side, they definitely pack your Bingsu with layers of the toppings. It’s not like some places where they only put it on the top. They have a top layer, and a bottom layer! Not only does snowies have Bingsu, they also have tea! It’s a good combo when you have a sensitive mouth like me, I always gotta get a pot of tea to go with a Bingsu! My personal fave is the earl grey! But they only have tea during the winter. Don’t forget if you’re there, definitely try the lychee rose tea with coconut jelly.. BOMB. They have an Instagram @snowiesbingsu, follow them to stay updated on new flavours, as their original flavours are promotional, they’re posted for sale only for two weeks and they release a new flavour! (So yes the Thai milk tea, viet coffee and HK milk tea is sold out - until further notice!) Snowies is probably the only dessert place I go to in Mississauga, by far the best l have ever tried! Can’t wait to go back!

2022-07-09_Went to have dessert at Snowie's with our godkids after indulging in a wonderful meal at K-Pocha next door. It was their first time at Snowie's and we thought they would love their first taste of Korean shaved ice. The service was great and accommodating. Seeing that the kids were stuffed from eating K-Pocha, they ordered small Oreo bingsu and my wife and I ordered the Mango and Black Sesame bingsu. The kids' eyes lit up in amazement when their orders came to the table, with the beautiful presentation that the servers create with each order. Being that this was their first time at Bingsu's, they had some trouble trying to dig into their treats. And when they took their first spoonful, they were blown away with the texture and flavour. A perfect end to a summer evening meal. INITIAL REVIEW_So after having a meal of awesome Korean fried chicken from K-Pocha, my wife and I decided to treat ourselves for dessert next to the restaurant at a place called Snowie's Bingsu. This was already recommended to us by another restaurant owner and my wife always wanted to go in and try it out. We were blown away. The service was really friendly and accommodating. The bingsu was both beautiful and tasty. I had the Mango cheesecake bingsu and my wife had the Injeolmi bingsu. The presentation was like a work of art but the flavour of this shaved ice covered in tasty mango slices and bits of cheesecake was awesome. Everyone should come here for a great summer evening treat. The service is great and the bingsu is refreshing and amazing.

PLEASE read before going here. I’ve never left a bad review, but this place was filled to the brim with FLIES, to the point where I think the health department may want to get involved. I feel sick after going here and want to leave negative stars out of 5. The flies were all over the walls, seats, tables, and food. How could you continue serving food to people when your cafe is in such bad condition, potentially causing food poisoning? I know the employees are not at fault, this is clearly the fault of a negligent owner and bad management. We decided to give it a chance and ordered, however, even the bingsu was possibly the worst I’ve ever tried and tasted stale (could not eat more than half a bite). The smell was really mildew-y, as if the cafe has not been cleaned. I saw them take ice cream out from the fridge, walk it back to the kitchen, and put it back in the fridge around 10-15 minutes later (concerning because I don’t think products containing milk should be unrefrigerated for that long constantly throughout the day). I had to use the washroom and was surrounded by flies and a really off-putting smell. They also did not turn on the AC strong enough, and it was stuffy (like a microwave filled with flies). I saw multiple people leave because their order wasn’t taken, and I really, really wish we had left before ordering as well. I don’t want to leave a negative review but I feel sick to my stomach. This place serves things with milk and fruit, and I don’t think they are fresh. Hopefully they THOROUGHLY clean the place and store their ingredients properly before someone gets sick from eating the food. I don’t think the owner should be skimping on ingredient freshness and should hire an outside company to deep clean their establishment. Extremely disappointed and concerned about the health and safety regulations...
