Worst experience in men's wear I've ever had. Unfortunately came here on three occasions during my life in Nelson and will never be returning. The first time was to rent a highschool grad tuxedo. The second and third times were to find men's wear asa.n adult and the belittleling, abrasive behaviour by the senior sales staff who will try to sell you anything that doesn't fit, have no stock in anything other than polyester/synthetics that they tell you is fine clothing and charge prices on par with fine wool is ridiculous. All alterations are extra charges and all school events come before walk in customers. Abundantly clear that highschool students once a year are their only customers, they feel that they can treat people and their clothing experience as natrowly as possible. What can I say? I walked into this store in the city I was born in Nelson, BC. Years ago I was told I looked like an arrogant prick because I enjoyed wearing sport coats, dressy shirts and a fedora. I stopped wearing anything semi-formal. And I probably will never wear a Fedora again. With me dressing less fancy I lost some of my confidence in how I looked and felt. I recently got fitted and purchased a suit, shirt, tie and belt combo from Baker Street Menswear. I am so happy with the quality of the products offered, good prices, and was even more impressed with the service. I work in the bush and am not fashion savvy but Mike and his employees helped to set me up with a good looking suit! I really appreciated the low-to-no pressure environment while browsing.
