Queen City Escape Rooms — Local services in Nelson

The year was suppost to be 1936 in our spooky fortune teller escape room. The vibes and mood was supposed to be creepy, eerie, spooky... however that was not the case. I'm sure  the employee is being paid to emerse us into the experience, but she did a terrible job. Instead she had a friend come over with a dog and could not keep quiet for the duration of our stay. We paid for an experience, instead we got a full gossip conversation about boys, dinner reservations, take out orders, her dog constantly whining, the two girls laughing loudly and just talking about stuff that we didn't pay to hear. The walls were thin and not soundproof and they didnt even attempt to be quiet. Curious if they were drinking because when we got there, there was a alcoholic cider beverage on her desk. When we were finishing the last lock, the dog started scratching at the door, and the employee said "oh are you going to help them? Going to help them win??" Totaly runing the experience. The puzzles were awesome and it was a fun time trying to figure out how to get out, but the experience and mood was completely lost. 1000/10 not worth the $50+ with the talking and distractions.  Next time don't bring your friends and their dog to work...

Family friendly escape rooms right in Nelson! I tried Heist with a group of 5 adults and we were so close to making it out! The puzzles are tricky and lots of fun - staff very helpful and willing to give hints as needed and I was told there's still a 70% failure rate - but then you're getting your full hour's experience. The 3 dragons I completed with my family and we did make it out today - the kids (7 and 11) had fun looking for clues and thinking of out of the box solutions. My 11 year old found the essential item us adults skipped over! Please give them a try, if you’re curious you only need a friend or two to join and get the best experience. 8 is the max, but not necessary. Also, dess up if you're inclined! There are extra hats...

Funnest experience, can't believe it took us so long to try this out. The whole adventure was very well laid out, really clever puzzles and the construction of the adventure and ship was superb, all the way to the grand finale at the end. We'll be back for the next one very soon. We'll definitely be recommending these great escape rooms to our friends. We just started geocaching since Covid hit, and I think it helped us solve the puzzles in a more efficient way. We were down to the last puzzle with 2 min on the clock, and made it out just in the nick of time! Great fun...
