To my past self on the left who wondered if her efforts were making a difference, who decided to care about her body in a way she hadnât in a long time, who didnât always see her beauty⌠You were and always will be beautiful. Your efforts have been rewarded in more ways than just the physical, which are huge in their own right đĽš
The photo on the left was taken in mid-July and the one on the right on October 30 â about 3.5 months apart. I donât know my starting weight, but I went from a snug size 5 to a loose size 2 âđ˝đĽ˛ Looking at these photos, I finally see how much my waist has slimmed, my posture has improved, and my muscles have strengthened.
I wouldnât have had this success without Trainers Josh @mrgofitness and Rawan at Go Fitness Niagara. Joshâs accountability shows how much he values his clientsâ health and growth. Their care and support made the journey feel manageable, empowering, and sustainable.
The goal was never just weight loss. It was to feel better in my body as a whole. Iâm sorry to myself for taking so long to get here, but Iâm grateful for the journey. Iâm the healthiest Iâve ever been.
Physical fitness isnât a replacement for mental health support, but it is a strong foundation for building resilience and self-trust. The gym taught me to connect with myself, my breath, and the tension in my body and also to release it.
It taught me to push one more time, because thatâs what life asks of us: to show up and try, even when it gets tough. The journey isnât over tho. Our health should always be a priority. đ
âââââââââââââââââ-
Go Fitness Niagara impressed me from day one. The studio has this calm, ambient vibe thatâs such a nice change from the usual industrial gyms while still having all the equipment you need. And honestly, the peopleâJosh and Trainer Rawanâare a huge part of what makes it great.
The workouts are like a fitness obstacle courseâin the best way. Theyâre challenging but fun, and they make working out feel more like something you want to do, not just something you have to check off your list. The class setup takes care of the hardest part for me: figuring out what to do. Plus, itâs designed to hit different muscle groups throughout the week, so youâre getting a solid mix without having to plan it yourself.
Josh and Rawan arenât just into fitnessâtheyâre genuinely kind, supportive people you actually look forward to seeing. Theyâre great at knowing how to push you just enough, and everything can be adjusted to your level or to level up, whether youâre just starting out or already deep into your fitness journey.
I started with a trial and figured, why not? After one class, I signed up for the yearâbecause I knew Iâd finally found something that would keep me going. GFN makes working out feel simple while still pushing you and making you sore a few days later. Step one: show up. They take care...
Read moreGo Fitness Niagara changed my life! Yeah yeah I know what youâre thinking - thatâs what everyone says and it sounds like a cliche. I promise you itâs not! This may get a bit long but stick me here and Iâll tell you why this is not just any other reviewâŚâŚ. I have battled with my weight, my health and my fitness most of my life. I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) at the age of 22 and was told by my Dr. to learn to love who I am because I would never be thin. Over the next decade my health got worse, I developed Hypothyroidism, Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NFLD), Arthritis in my spine, and a slew of digestive and skin issues stemming from an intolerance to dairy (though I didnât know it at the time). I hired multiple personal trainers to try and get into shape with no luck - not due to their incompetence, just simply unaware of how to work with all my complex little pieces. I tried programs like Weight Watchers and Beachbody, again with little to no success. At one point I was even referred to a medical weight loss clinic and the Drâs there advised me that a gastric bypass followed up later by skin removal surgery was the only way that I would be healthy and thin. Then I met Josh Green at Go Fitness Niagara and heard about his 6 week challenge. I was intrigued right off the bat but also very skeptical that this challenge would be no different from all the other times I had tried and failed. It took me a few months of watching others achieve some amazing results before I found the courage to try again and I am SO glad I did. Not only have I lost a total of 20lbs and 8in in 6 weeks (Thatâs crazy!!!!!!) BUT I also gained physical and mental strength, I feel more energized, I no longer have that mid-day crash and because my nutrition has improved so much I am no longer suffering from the digestive and physical ailments that were plaguing me before. I still have a way to go to get to where I want to be but for the first time in my life it actually feels possible!!! I am capable of things today that 6 weeks ago were impossible and everyday I get better and better! I honestly cannot say enough good things about Josh and the entire GFN team. I promise you that if you take this chance and invest in yourself you WILL NOT regret it. No one is going to hold you hand and force you to do it BUT you will have access to an AMAZING support system in your new âGym Familyâ, an accountability coach as well as Josh and his rockstar team of trainers! If GFN can change me it can change anyone - trust me! I donât know where I would have ended up if I hadnât joined Go Fitness Niagara but now that I have, I canât wait to see where...
Read moreUnfortunately I found my experience very misleading...I signed up for the 6 Week Challenge and submitted half of the fee as required at my initial Group Consult. I read the contract which states very clearly refund OR credit (toward gym membership) after "successfully" completing the challenge. When I inquired about the refund, I was told I was confused and that's not what the Contract means. (I even forwarded highlighted images of the contract and where the language clearly said "refund OR credit" - Josh replied he would have his lawyer change it to be less confusing - either way, it is a void contract if he is unwilling to honor the terms.) I knew after 3 workouts this gym would not be for me for the long-term (not a very flexible schedule) so I wanted to ensure that I had some other incentive (the refund) to continue given the large expense of enrolling. I asked many questions and I was told again that I was "confused" about what "refund" means and that I had to forfeit $300 of the almost $700 fee in order to leave the program. Side note: I did receive a "Nutritional Plan" which was not individualized - it was a generic version and hard to follow - I was told the $300 I paid was for the nutritional plan, which he also told me held a value of $226, I was not provided a refund for the difference in cost. Upon further investigating on my own, given that Josh's contract was not being honored and considered void, I am entitled to a full refund even though I received a package because he is not honoring his side of the contract.
Beyond the contract... The people I met in the 3 workouts were lovely, the gym is mediocre (poorly lit, air ventilation not that great, parking lot is full of pot holes).
I feel very mislead, and given that it is in the Contract that you must write a review, the reviews posted here are also very misleading because those who wanted to "succeed" signed in their contract that they would post a review. Josh is a very good businessman... but unfortunately, I will not recommend his gym or fitness challenges to anyone going...
