We’ve been driving across town to the Stirling for about a year now. The food is usually hot and reasonably priced with good service. Tonight was a very off night. Service was super slow and several members of our party were served later than everyone else. We regretted going there after my daughter’s graduation. We really enjoy the Philly cheesesteak wontons. I guess they ran out but substituted something else without asking. This could be a really big issue if someone had allergies. My son’s pizza was burnt so he didn’t eat in the restaurant- we got it to go after they remade it. We were charged extra for pepperoni on the same pizza as the one topping is now cheese. My wife was super pissed that there was no communication nor attempt to make things right. It’ll be a while before we go again. We were also embarrassed to recommend the Stirling to friends.

I was excited to try the pizza at Stirling Pub after hearing good thing and reading some good reviews. The service was okay, seemed a bit long (40mins) to make a pizza, but it came out on time. Price wasn’t too bad considering it was a fairly large pizza. After trying, it was much of a let down. The crust was very thin (not typical New York style) but it did taste ok, especially the crust, almost had a crispy, buttery taste. The sauce was not great, tasted store bought and not much flavour. The cheese was ok, nothing special. The toppings were not the best quality, the cup n char pepperoni was almost stale tasting. The pizza itself was very floppy, not much structure to it, most likely due to the abundant toppings and thin crust. Overall an ok pizza, but nothing special. Check out Stirling pub pizza for yourself and make your own opinions.

Food was ok.. not the best, but good enough. The tables are all high tho. Not very wheelchair friendly, but they did bring in a shorter table and a chair for our group. I have the chicken ceaser.. it was good. Would have liked warm chicken tho, instead of cold. 2 of our group had burgers, again, they were ok. They were not fans of the fries. Got a thumbs up on the Philly Cheese Steak tho. The kitchen was a little slow, but our server was very good, and really nice... if you wanna watch a sports game with food, this place will do.

I’ve been here before and had great food and great service. However, last night my family ate here and had a horrible experience. First, my sister and I ordered two types of wontons, the traditional and the steak and cheese. When the food arrived we realized they had brought the jalapeño cheddar instead of the steak and cheese. Not a huge issue as the server took them back and brought us the correct order. Then the meals arrived. Half of us split a 12 slice pizza with two added toppings (as ADVERTISED IN THE MENU: includes ONE FREE TOPPING). My 6 year old niece also got a 4 slice pizza with bacon (she typically eats just cheese, but because it said one extra topping included my sister ordered her bacon). Our pizza came, cut into 8 slices? So we had to question if they brought the right size out. The server simply replied, “yeah I think it’s the 12 slice size? We just have new kitchen staff”. Okay, fine. Then she let us know that my nieces small pizza fell on the floor and that they would have to make another one. Fine. 30 MINUTES LATER the server comes by to say “pizza is on its way out”. During this time, we have to ask for more refills of our beverages (If they were overly busy I’d understand but there was probably a total of 7 tables at the time). Everyone else has already finished their meals. Finally her food arrives and she can eat. We then get our bills and noticed we have been charged for every topping on the pizzas. It’s hard to complain when the added charge is only $1.50/$2.50 but after all the mishaps we decided to speak up. The menu clearly says INCLUDES ONE FREE TOPPING. The server’s explanation: “oh yah, that’s changed and is no longer included. The menu just hasn’t changed. Another person who ordered take out also complained about that”. She then hands the bills back and does NOTHING about it. I used to be a server so I truly hate complaining, but this was just wrong. If this is the case you need to tell your customers when they’re ordering, especially if someone has already complained about this ?! People are ordering based on the prices they see in a menu, so if that’s incorrect, the staff need to make the customers aware. After all of the mishaps, especially making a 6 year old wait over 30 minutes for a thin crust pizza, something should have been done. We didn’t get so much as an apology from this server. I’m so disappointed because I have had a good experience here in the past, so I suggested this place to my family. However after this horrible experience we will...

Steer clear this place it was really bad. The waitress was snarky said to me the cheese is considered a topping; I replied Pizza is not pizza without cheese and your menu clearly states the pizza includes one topping. They claim their Pizza is New York style pizza but it's more like a Tony's Pizza that you put in the microwave except worse because they coat the bottom with hard little cornmeal pieces and very small the picture is not realistic that you see online because that one looks really good and decent sized. They told me that they charged my bill for cheese and pepperoni; who does that? This place is really nickel and dime people... since when is it an Upcharge to have cheese on a pizza. And the menu clearly states that it includes one topping I guess they think the topping that's included is the sauce? (I lived in New York during the summer I know what true New York Pizza is) And honey this ain't it! They did not tell me they were up charging me almost $4 for the pepperoni either which I thought it was included cuz the menu clearly states one free topping. We ordered wings and those were our biggest biggest disappointment because they were black inside/ not fresh ; yet small and rubbery; not kidding! To make matters worse they also charged us almost $4 for blue cheese and rotted celery and carrots that tasted like mildew and mold. The blue cheese was only filled half way and it tasted strong of vinegar and mayonnaise I did not know where the blue cheese was! because it was not in it; I suppose them filling the alleged blue cheese halfway was a favor; because it was that terrible. The buffalo wings they cut with ketchup and hot sauce which is not a true buffalo wings and does not taste good at all ; which adds to the wet soggy texture of the wings!!! Sadly they stole $50 from me for terrible food; I actually called the waitress over because we wanted to order something else because everything else was gross thought maybe the nachos would be okay ; So by her ignoring us she actually did us a favor because we probably would have regretted those as well. The group I went with wanted to go to Swiss chalet and I insisted on this place....

Eat at the Stirling Niagara Pub if you're willing to risk being towed

10 of us coworkers have been ordering lunch at the Stirling on alternating days for the past 2 months. Pete (who was great) let us park here for a couple hours on the days we bought lunch there since we had business in the area. The food wasn't too bad and it was a good deal for all of us.

Everything was going well these 2 months, until last week when Pete quit the Sterling. Just days later, one of my coworkers had his car towed from the Stirling parking lot on a day we have regularly been ordering lunch there. He went to Steve (the owner) to see if he can explain to the landlord that we are paying customers and to not tow our cars on the days we buy our lunch there. Steve's reply was "I can't tell them who not to tow". We find it hard to believe that a business tenant can't tell a landlord to not tow their customers. In any case, his answer was that he will not do anything about it.

None of us are going to risk a $150 towing fee just to eat at the Stirling Niagara. The fact that the pub owner doesn't care that you, as a paying customer gets towed, and won't even make a single phone call to fix the problem says it all.

And just like that, he lost 10 loyal regulars. Don't worry Steve, we won't bother you as we found another place that wanted our business.

Bottom line: When you eat at the Stirling Niagara Pub & Eatery, get a window seat so you can see when your car is getting towed. Know that you park at your own risk, because Steve the owner will NOT help you when the overzealous landlord decides to tow your car for literally any (or no) reason. If you really want to eat here,...
