I haven’t enjoyed a night out as much in ages! The restaurant is perfect - beautiful atmosphere, Greek inspired decos but not over the top, spotless, perfect music levels so you can have a conversation… and the food..!!! šŸ˜šŸ˜‹šŸ˜šŸ˜‹šŸ˜šŸ˜‹ Four of us shared 4 appetizers (eyes a bit big lol) with traditional lit saganaki, stuffed vine leaves, octopus and kalamari - all cooked, prepared and plated to perfection. Our entrees were equally wonderful and for myself, I don’t remember the last time I had lamb paithakia so perfectly seasoned and cooked! The portions were well sized, but given how greedy we were with our apps there were leftovers of course! We were also fortunate to have had the privilege of being served by one of the restaurants’ long standing associates - a waitress named Andrea who first started her career as an ice cream scooper! What impressed me the most about her was not just her natural & genuine friendliness, terrific and prompt service, nor her admission that she also holds a high school teachers position (so admirable but what does this say about salaries offered to teachers in Ontario?!), but that she had been with this restaurant for so many years I knew that not only was this a talented and experienced family run business but that they also must treat their employees considerately, fairly and like family! Kudos to ā€œGreek on Portageā€

If I could give 10 stars I would!!! We came to Niagara for the Tulip festival and decided to stop into one of our favourite Greek restaurants in Niagara. Surprised to learn Koutouki closed down during pandemic, but so happy that it made us try this gem !! Right from the get go everything was fabulous . The restaurant is away from the hussle and bustle of Niagara. The decor and the entrance were beautiful. All of the staff were pleasant and smiling while working. How different from some of the places in Toronto!!!! Our server was a very welcoming , bubbly girl who had full knowledge of the menu and was very helpful with our selections. We eat at a lot of Greek restaurants, in fact had a great trip to Greece last year but I have to say this food was beyond our expectations. The stuffed mushrooms appetizer was out of this world , the Chicken Daka was delectable and the Chicken Creta was unbelievable. Don’t get me started on the Greek Pizza - the tastiest pizza I’ve had - dare I say ever?!!! My only minor disappointment was the Greek wine I ordered - it seems like the bottle had been open a while - I regret not ordering a bottle to know that the wine was freshly opened - this was a minor detail and didn’t detract from the great experience we had. You know we will be back again šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹

Wonderful dinner here tonight. The weather was surprisingly warm so we dined out on the patio. Our server was great and constantly came out to check on us even though we were the only table outside. The chicken kebabs were very juicy and tender, the pita was warm and crispy, the vegetables were very fresh and sweet. The kids’ meals were a bit pricier as kids’ meals but the portions were big. (Forgot to take pictures.) My 2 kids couldn’t finish their spaghetti with meatballs and I ate the rest for them. That tomato sauce was so rich and delicious! They were able to accommodate to their dairy allergy and made that dish without dairy. I was surprised that the restaurant wasn’t busier because this is honestly one of the best Greek restaurants that I’ve been to and I dine out a lot in Toronto.

Worst fish and chips I have ever had in my lifetime. Every time my senior friend offers to buy fish and chips here and offers me an order it is poor quality and expensive. This is a truthful review sad to say. Most of the time the fish is soggy and greasy and the inside batter is still a bit raw. One time a bit charred on one side and still soggy. The fries always look like the end of the day left overs. There have even been mixes sizes of fries and some them appear to have went through the fryer multiple times until black which make me believe they are left overs from the day. if you pay this much you should have crispy non greasy fish and fully cooked batter and fresh crispy fries. The cold slaw often tastes like they forgot to put dressing on it a lot of time or the recipe is inconsistent..I usually have to put my own dressing on it to give it taste. I got sick from it recently ( a week and a half ago)..maybe the soggy greasy batter ? I was sick to my stomach for days. I will never eat fish and chips from here again. Looks like a nice place to eat but they are sending people home with horrible quality fish and chips. The TRUTH too sad to say ! Needs desperate improvement. Do they do this to takeout only just to get rid of the end if the day food ? Not acceptable at all and to a...
