COBS Bread — Restaurant in North Vancouver

Over the past year in Vancouver, I’ve tried bread from at least eight different locations of this brand. What’s truly impressive is the consistency — the standard products are always of the same high quality. Still, each branch has its own personality, and the selection varies slightly depending on the neighborhood. If I’m in the mood for a proper ciabatta or authentic Italian bread for toasts, I head to the Italian area near Commercial Drive. When I want a cozier, more local atmosphere, I go to the West Van location. The one closest to me — at the corner of Cambie and West 8th Avenue — is my favorite. The only question I have is with one item I purchase. Chorizo and Prosciutto pizza. They taste amazing. I've bought other items there over the years, never a problem with quality/taste etc.. It's a great store. I also want to say the staff are always very friendly every time I visit the store.

I go in Friday, Monday, and Tuesday after 5, and they are sold out, Fine. I go in at noon on my lunch break on Wednesday, and you are already out... at noon. I was told by one staff member that they are usually put out around 8:30, I'm at work by that time, so I ordered some for Thursday p/u.

During the summer, I can’t leave my dog alone in the car even for 2 minutes because of the hot weather. That means I often struggle to buy food for myself. One day at COBS, one of the ladies working there kindly offered to watch my puppy outside so I could go in and shop.
