I had a very negative experience at your Windsor location. I visited and entered your clearance area /Bargain Annex. I was looking at a mattress and a salesperson came over. Two mattresses were stacked on top of each other, one a Double and one a Queen. The top mattress was tagged a Queen. However, after looking at it / testing it for a few minutes, the salesperson realized the tags had been switched and what I had thought was a Queen, on the top, was actually a Double. They were the same price- $399. The woman assured me that the Double and the Queen were exactly the same, and I purchased the Queen.
When I had someone pick the mattress up for me the following afternoon, he was made to wait for an hour and a half due to this tagging issue- somehow it wasn't correct in the system.
When I got the mattress home, I discovered that it had several red marks- what looks like red marker or lipstick, perhaps, and what appeared to be a coffee stain.
I called the store to ask what could be done. The manager was very curt, saying that there was nothing he could do because it was a floor model. I expressed concern about the mattress' sanitariness, and he said he suggested I "buy a new mattress". Throughout the conversation, I expressed that I had not been made aware of these stains before purchasing the mattress; that the salesperson had assured me they were the same, and about the tagging confusion. He curtly asked if I had "anything else to discuss", and when I again stated that this was my only issue, he hung up on me.
While I fully realize and acknowledge that mattresses in this clearance area are often in less than perfect condition, this interaction felt purposely deceptive, because the tag was switched with another's, and these spots were conveniently covered when I looked at and purchased it. The experience and has left me feeling taken advantage of. This was especially true after speaking with this manager, who was very curt, accusatory and downright rude immediately off the bat, making for a very unpleasant experience.
I understand limitations regarding such clearance items, but I am writing due to how deceptive my experience felt given the above, and the incredibly unfriendly and poor customer service I then received.
Since then, I've also emailed Customer Care and left a message with your head office, and neither message have been returned or followed up on.

Read moreUpdate: October 24th, 2025 We had a delivery today of a 2-piece TV cabinet with a built-in electric fireplace, and a side tower. They put them in place but said they can't take them out of the boxes. Considering we're seniors with health issues, in the past, delivery drivers would do this for us. The guys in October last year were amazing - the ones from today (one of them), not so much. He told me they won't do that, won't take our "garbage either", they don't get paid by the hour (?)... I called the company to be told the manager will call me back. The delivery took place before 1pm. It is now after 5 and no call back.
After more than 40 years of dealing with them, we will be taking our business elsewhere for anything else we need. Update: We've had 2 deliveries from Leon's in the past 3 weeks (Oct-Nov 2024) and the service is amazing! I'm surprised I haven't written a review before, especially since I've shopped at Leon's for 45 years or so. The first ever Leon's my husband and I bought furniture from was located inside Devonshire Mall in an upstairs unit.
For me, there are so many reasons to continue shopping there. First is the quality of goods and the competitive prices. Next is the large selection in every category. And finally, great customer service and excellent sales staff.
Hiam is our go-to when we're shopping. We literally call ahead to check her schedule. She has come to know us, our taste in furnishings, and is attentive to our needs. She provides us all the details and gives us time to make up our mind; no pressure. This is important because I buy furniture on average, every few years. I still own all the furniture; it has just moved along to our kids houses because quality lasts a long time.

Our originally planned delivery date was October 3rd, and we had a delivery truck and a hired moving team all set for that day. The day before, I called to confirm the delivery and was told to expect a specific time after 3 pm.
Subsequently, I called again to inquire if I could personally pick up the item, and your staff confirmed that it was possible pending a check on my order. However, I was then informed that due to a truck breakdown, I wouldn't be able to receive the item until October 10th.
To make matters worse, after posting this review, I later discovered that you had delayed the delivery by an additional day just yesterday. This forced me to rebook and pay for the moving team once more.
I kindly request that you reach out to me directly instead of providing inaccurate responses in review replies. Such conduct appears unprofessional.
Edit: The company explained they had a truck breakdown in Toronto. Doesn't explain why nobody called to let us know the bed wasn't being delivered tomorrow. It is what it is.
I had a rather frustrating experience with Leon's. I invested $4000 in a bed frame and mattress and patiently waited for three months for delivery. Just today, when I called to confirm the timing for tomorrow, they dropped a bombshell on me, saying I couldn't receive it for another week. I'd meticulously planned this for over two months, and the fact that they didn't bother to inform me is simply appalling.
