Don't waste your money here! Edit: Responding to the reply from the spa, I already did send my feedback to the email listed. 2 weeks ago. No response. This is my first ever Google review because this experience was just so terrible (especially given the price) and neither the spa itself, nor Amerispa seems to care. It has been over 2 weeks since I emailed a detailed account of my experience to both the Manager of the spa and a contact at Amerispa (as well as filling out their form survey) and no response. I was not making any demands in my communication (refund, free services), though maybe I should have. Summary: Though kind, the staff seems incredibly undertrained. -The "facial" I was given was unlike any I've had in the past and not particularly enjoyable. It involved my face being rubbed with dry fingers for an extended period of time, pulling my skin in strange directions, and, though we were in a dark room, my skin was never looked at under a light with a half-attempt at extractions. Upsells were mixed in with options so there were surprises at the checkout - and when you are spending hundreds of dollars, the upsells just felt tacky. Don't believe I was actually given the body wrap as advertised on their website. Due to renovations, the spa is make-shift, not incredibly calming and just kind of awkward. All those little details taken care of at spas of this caliber (ie charging this much) were forgotten. At one point, I was left naked in a room without a robe. Though in a glorious location and charging BIG BUCKS, I would save your money. Go to Strom Spa Nordique instead - much cheaper and a FAR more...
Read moreUnless you absolutely want a horrible spa experience, avoid this place at all costs. Has ruined the Fairmont brand for me. I would like to start with reception, I arrived at the recommended 15 minutes early and then proceeded to wait 10 minutes as the receptionist talked to another person and ignored both other customers and the phone. I was then shown the “relaxation room” which should not even be called that, it is an absolutely sterile waiting room with nothing relaxing about it. The therapist came and got me right on the hour and showed me to the room. I was uncomfortable from the start when I was shown into a bright room with no blinds so that as I am undressing for a massage anyone from the hotel who would care to look could see me. It was challenging to move past that and incredibly uncomfortable. I don’t know how you all characterize a massage, but just randomly rubbing up and down is not a massage technique I have ever received before and I would not recommend it. Lastly, the repeated knocking on the room door and the conversations that occurred ruined any chance of relaxation. Again, maybe I was wrong to expect more of a spa on a Fairmont, but I’ve had better and more relaxing massages at a kiosk in an airport than...
Read moreI thought a spa at such a hotel would be top, thought wrong. I was booked in for the wrong treatment.. no confirmation email/card given, assumed the front desk would not mess up like that. No drinks menu or offered anything which is unlike any spa I’ve ever been to. The music is too loud and annoying, not regular spa relaxing music. Even when I got the wrong treatment, I read the description and the girl doing my treatment (dont want to call names to not ruin their job), did not do the whole thing so I called her out on it. She said no this treatment doesn’t have it, so I showed her the website and she’s like oh.. like no knowledge of what’s your treatments. THEN SHE BUFFED OUT MY FEET DRY!!! LIKE WHO DOES THAT??? She took WAY TOO long to paint my nails like it was getting annoying, but it definitely was just to buy time out of the treatment. You do not need 40 -45 minutes to paint nails. That’s insane. Quite a terrible experience! Never back here or any moment spa. Don’t go here. Spend your money somewhere where its an actual spa and can live up to that standard. I paid over a 110$ to just get my toes painted .. that was stupid and a waste...
