DO NOT GO INTO THE WASHROOMS. The smell of stalel urine is so overpowering that I almost threw up. The state of the washroom is in such bad disrepair, with literal holes in the walls where anyone can put a camera. In addition to this, the bathroom is locked and the phone number on the sign when you call to get access, you're told that it's not the right number to get a key. The only reason I was able to enter was because one of the employees of the restaurant was leaving while I and another patron were waiting (and the bathroom was so scary his little girl cried and refused to go inside.)
The mall security police the food court seating as if it's a crime to use it to sit down unless you buy food but they ignore anyone smoking in the non-smoking areas outside and allow people to yell and scream all day outside. All of the doors to enter the building look as if they have never been washed in years along with the floors.
The management for this mall do not care, and if you call to make any sort of complaint you are ignored and they never get back to you.
Last year I called to make a complaint about the fact that the restaurant that was previously in place would not allow people to sit at the tables unless you purchased from them despite the tables being mall property and not owned by the restaurant. Instead of addressing the issue or adding the benches back inside for people with disabilities to have a place to rest, they removed all the tables.
(The tables in place now are different and the restaurant is different I have no...
Read moreIt's sad seeing the state this mall is in, it's on it's last limbs and it doesn't have much days left. The mall has very little tenants left inside and the foot traffic is fairly low, really the only thing keeping the mall from closing entirely is the Giant Tiger. The ceiling has pretty bad water damage, the mall is pretty dirty and grimey, the escalators and whatnot have been shut off, and the lighting in the mall is very dim.
That being said, there's this one cute restaurant still operating in the husk of the former food court that I do recommend checking out. As well I love the vintage 'Mall' sign that sits right outside the entrance next to the Giant Tiger. Even if the mall is in pretty bad shape, I still recommend visiting it, even if it is just to just gauk at the state of the mall or...
Read moreFormer mall that consisted of multiple reatilers. Today, it's still referred to as a Mall however, there are few retailers. A large section is a contact centre and Giant Tiger utilizes a large space. Dooley's has a location here as does a long standing tailor shop. Over the past couple years investments to the outside of the property have been made however, the inside has remained much the same for the last 30 years. Underground parking no longer available, all parking now at...
