We went there on Saturday for supper. The atmosphere was nice and the servers were great. We order a few things. I ordered a black dragon roll, my oldest ordered a caterpillar roll, my wife ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl and my youngest ordered a bowl of rice with salmon sashimi. The meal was mediocre at best. The presentation of the rolls were not authentic. In my meal, it was just 2 rows of 4 small maki pieces with eel on top and for my son it was the same but with avocado. The rolls were very small, lacked flavor and presentation. For my wife's meal, they added too much cabbage to the meal, making it taste very blend instead of the sweetness that usually comes with those dishes. And for my youngest, he expected to get a bit more than just 1/2 a cup of rice. In all, the meal came to roughly 90$ and we left the restaurant still hungry. I have eaten in many Japanese restaurants and sushi bars. When a roll is ordered, it must look like it's description. For example, a dragon roll would look like a shape of a dragon, a rainbow roll would be very colorful like a rainbow, etc. So unfortunately I give it 1 star for the service, 1 star for the atmosphere. The price does not reflect well the presentation of the food we were served. A bit disappointing. Perhaps we caught them...
Read moreThey have a small dining area, so if you are coming with more than 4 people, I suggest calling first and make a reservation just incase. When I went for dinner, it wasn’t too busy but eventually, by the time I’m ready to leave, all the tables were occupied. They give you free miso soup and they have free wifi too, which is a bonus since I’m not from there. This is not AYCE, it is off the menu. I ordered the California roll, Philly roll and fried sushi. They were all delicious. I’m 7 months pregnant and I was craving for sushi so badly. What I love about their menu is that it indicates with a symbol for which sushi roll is cooked, so it’s easy to decide what you want when you can’t eat anything raw. I had good service as well! I just felt bad that there was only one waitress working so she was hustling around between tables. But overall,...
Read moreI usually really like sense of Tokyo but the last few times that I have been there have not been the best. I can easily understand when you are busy and understaffed that it may be more difficult to accommodate some dietary restrictions. If you feel that it is not easily done at all times, then do not offer that service. I am not trying to make your job any more difficult by asking for that option. I asked for the gluten free options, as I cannot eat gluten, and was told that because they were too busy that it was not an option. I then had to pick from the regular menu, which has no ingredients for the food, and was not given many options. If you cannot offer that service at all times then have other easy options that can be...
