Lakefield Fairgrounds — Local services in Selwyn

This is a review of the fair only. As the flea market (for some unknown reason) was closed during the fair. I've been to the flea market a few times and it has its charm. The Fair, however, is VERY over priced and quite run down. The midway is very pricey and the rides look like they could use some serious TLC. It was a shame to see all the vendors set up and no one at them. After admission and ride tickets (three rides) and two games, we were $75 in for our family of 4. No food. No wonder it was empty on a sunny Sunday afternoon. If I did all the rides my kids wanted to and had lunch, I easily could have spent close to $200. Someone take the reins and fix...

I only go to this fair for the truck pull and with it being canceled this year do to the opinion from someone who does not understand or like the sport in my opinion. If this is not sorted out properly and this person or people are not removed from the fair board I will not return to this fair I personally know people who spent a lot of time and money to set up this truck pull and...

I was looking forward to taking my daughter to the truck pull. It was beautiful and sunny early afternoon. We were very disappointed it got cancelled. We ended up going to a tractor pull which wasn't too far away. They did not cancel!!!!!! Maybe if someone looked at the forecast they would have known it could have happened!!
