The Chocolate Rabbit — Restaurant in Selwyn

I had just a wonderful experience yesterday at The Chocolate Rabbit in Lakefield ON. I used to dread the day when I would attend the Belgian Chocolate Shop in The Beach area of Toronto and beg for all white chocolate selection (which my wife adores) and suffer the berattement by the owner and staff without the mandatory 30 day request notification, so similar to getting soup on Seinfeld.

I left with the bounty of ganache and laughing like I haven’t in years. I plan to stop in again on non holiday times to savour the aroma and the friendly banter and maybe the odd bunny.

And the best part is my wife does not now miss the Toronto...

This is perfect place for chocolate lovers, with a personal touch and friendly conversation with Lois and Linda. If you are visiting Lakefield, Ont or area around - is a must stop- brings you happiness and makes you smile. And if you are back home in a cold winter day, just one day before New Years Eve, your friends from Chocolate Rabbit Factory wants you to be happy again so they sending you a box with chocolates, and fudge that was my favourite and they remember that. Received some Valentine’s treats from this shop that were beyond disappointing. Stale, tasteless pretzels filled with subpar chocolate and candy hearts. Really not enjoyable to eat and quite expensive for such low quality ingredients. Would not recommend.

Edit: products (two boxes) were purchased before Feb. 14 and we opened them on Feb. 14. Ate two (one from each box) and product tasted old and stale with no real chocolate flavour at all. Ended up throwing out the rest. Interesting that these have been popular with others, but I did not...
