This place has the most questionable hygiene I've ever seen in a meat shop. The meat itself tastes horrible, especially the chicken, and is always covered in blood no matter how much you wash it or cook it. The minced meat looks fresh on the outside yet they literally hide brown coloured minced meat in the middle and cover it with new fresh looking meat on the outside. How are these halal practices? Tried to give them a few chances but this place is utterly rubbish. Edit: the picture of the chicken is thoroughly cooked, just because it's not coated in red tandoori masala doesn't mean it's not cooked. Cooked halal chicken should not be leaking blood. Do your job properly or stop calling yourself a halal shop. Well aware of beef oxidation phenomenon and oxidation occurs when meet is exposed to air. Given that, the meat on the outside should turn brown, not what's in the middle. Given your defensive response you've proved my point. Please do better or stop coming up with ways to rob people in broad daylight.

Exactly what this area needed! This place is an amazing 5-star addition to the neighborhood. It's bright, incredibly clean, and so well-stocked. The produce section is fantastic—everything is super fresh! They have a huge selection of spices, lentils, and all the specialty grocery items I usually have to hunt for. The staff was friendly, and the prices are very fair. So happy they opened, I will definitely be a regular!

Great collection of groceries and every day's food and hospitality needs under one roof. Mouth watering Pakistani and Indian spices, ready to be picked by taste hunters. Since they have extended the space, it looks like they have increased the taste of spices!

The New Desi bazar is very good in terms of service, price and value for what you pay. The owner is very honest. Having lived here for over 30 years we have dealt with many places. This place is on the southside and I highly recommend it. The owner of Desi is honest and isn't driven by profit. We have never been disappointed like we were with other stores. They are also helpful and pleasant when dealing with customers.

We used to shop at the Millwoods Halal store across the street located in a strip mall, and were disappointed more than once especially once after paying $60 for a piece of tenderloin that tasted like liver, and when we wanted a refund same day they wouldn't entertain the idea of a refund or even give us a different meat in exchange. We never set foot...

I do go to this store for purchase of spices and food items from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. The store is well sized, but at times it seems small based on the crowed. The prices of the stores are quite reasonable as compared to other stores, but there are certain items which I would say need a revision of prices. Customer service is satisfactory, but there were times at the meat section we did not get meat and not the kind of service we used to get. Over all if you are looking for spices and other condiments from Pakistan it is one of the stores I...
